Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Dominion Edition Launched In India
Just before the Diwali festivities begin in India, the country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has launched a new limited edition model of its popular mid-size SUV, the Grand Vitara. It has been named the Grand Vitara Dominion Edition, and it will be offered for a limited period. The new Grand Vitara Dominion Edition will be available in Delta, Zeta, and Alpha variants of this popular SUV. Additionally, in addition to the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine, the Dominion Edition will be offered with the CNG powertrain as well.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Dominion Edition: Pricing
First off, let’s talk about the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Dominion Edition’s pricing. As mentioned, this new edition will be offered in three variants, namely the Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The Delta Dominion Edition package has been priced at Rs 48,599.
On the other hand, the Zeta and Alpha Dominion Edition packages have been priced at Rs 49,999 and Rs 52,699, respectively. The base Sigma variant of the Grand Vitara misses out on the Dominion Edition package.
Grand Vitara Dominion Edition: What’s New?
Exterior Updates
The Grand Vitara Dominion Edition is essentially an accessory package. This means that it adds a number of exterior and interior enhancements to the Grand Vitara mid-size SUV. On the exterior, it will come equipped with a front bumper extender finished in chrome, rear skid plate in black and chrome, and body side molding finished in chrome as well.
Apart from these, the Dominion Edition package also adds black ORVM garnish, premium door visor with stainless steel inserts, and headlamp garnish as well. There is also tail lamp garnish and back door garnish available with this limited edition. The Alpha and Zeta variants also get an additional side step as well.
Interior Enhancements
Moving on to the updates that will be offered on the inside, the Dominion Edition Grand Vitara will get premium enigmatic brown-colored seat covers in the Alpha variants. Meanwhile, the Delta variants will come with enigmatic lines in a dual-tone finish.
Apart from the seat covers, the Dominion Edition package will include all-weather 3D mats and an interior styling kit, which offers luxe dawn wood accents. There will also be Nexa-branded cushions, a door sill guard on plastic scuff, trunk loading protection, 3D boot mat, and an ECSTAR premium car care kit.
Grand Vitara Dominion Edition: Powertrain Options
As mentioned, the Grand Vitara Dominion Edition will be offered with both the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre mild hybrid engine as well as the CNG engine. The former makes 103 PS and 136 Nm of torque.
It comes offered with a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed AT. Meanwhile, the CNG motor makes only 88 PS of maximum power and 122 Nm of torque. Also, this powertrain only comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox option.
