Maruti Suzuki Ignis Radiance Edition Launched In India At Rs 5.49 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki, in its effort to bring more sales for its premium hatchback Ignis, has launched an all-new edition. Recently, the company announced the launch of the Ignis Radiance Edition in India. The new Ignis Radiance Edition has been priced competitively from Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This new edition gets a number of cosmetic enhancements and added features.
The company is offering the new Ignis Radiance Edition in three different variants, namely Sigma, Zeta, and Alpha. All of these trims will come equipped with unique accessories that enhance the car’s visual appeal. The base Sigma variant has been priced at Rs 5.49 lakh.
It is Rs 35,000 cheaper than the regular Sigma trim, which costs Rs 5.84 lakh. Despite the lower price, the new Radiance Edition comes with accessories worth Rs 3,650. These additions consist of wheel covers for the 15-inch steel wheels, door visors, and chrome highlights on select areas.
Coming to the higher-spec Zeta and Alpha variants, they also receive the Radiance treatment. The Zeta variant is priced between Rs 6.96 lakh and Rs 7.41 lakh. Meanwhile, the top-spec Alpha variant ranges from Rs 7.61 lakh to Rs 8.06 lakh.
These variants are similarly priced Rs 35,000 lower than their standard counterparts. They also come equipped with accessories worth Rs 9,500. These accessories include new seat covers, black cushions, door cladding, and door visors.
Mechanically, the Ignis Radiance Edition has been kept identical to the standard Ignis models. It continues to be powered by the time-tested and reliable 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine.
This motor generates 83 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. Interested buyers will have the option to choose between a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis Radiance Edition has been launched by the company to address the recent slowdown in the mass-market segment. The Ignis Radiance Edition currently competes with other popular hatchbacks in the Indian market, including the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Citroen C3. It also takes on its own siblings, the Wagon R, Swift, and Baleno.
Apart from the launch of the Ignis Radiance Edition, Maruti Suzuki is offering significant discounts on other popular models as well. The models in particular which are being offered with heavy discounts are the crossover Fronx and the lifestyle off-roader Jimny.
The Fronx is currently being offered with a Rs 85,500 discount. Meanwhile, the Jimny is available with discounts of up to Rs 3.3 lakh. The Fronx benefits from a Rs 32,500 cash discount and a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus, along with a special Velocity Edition kit priced at Rs 43,000.
The Jimny, on the other hand, particularly the top-end Alpha trim, enjoys a Rs 1.8 lakh cash discount. There is also an additional Rs 1.5 lakh off for buyers opting for Maruti Suzuki Smart Finance. This brings the total potential savings to Rs 3.3 lakh. Apart from these, the Grand Vitara compact SUV is also being offered with discounts up to Rs 1.03 lakh. There are other discounts on popular MSIL models as well.
