All-New Maruti Dzire Tour S Launched At 6.79 Lakh: India's First 5 Star BNCAP Taxi Is Here
The Indian taxi operators love the Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour S. Now, finally, after months of waiting, the company has launched the all-new fourth-generation Dzire Tour S in India. This time around, it has been launched with a price tag of Rs 6.79 lakh for the petrol variant, while the CNG variant has been priced at Rs 7.74 lakh. What makes the new Tour S special is that it is the first five-star Bharat NCAP safety-rated sedan taxi in India.

Exterior design
Recently, a video showing the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour S has been shared on YouTube by Takuli Auto Talks on their channel. From the outside, it looks identical to the Dzire LXI trim, which is the base variant currently available for sale to private buyers.
The vlogger mentions that, at the front, it gets the same blacked-out horizontal slatted grille with the Suzuki logo in the middle. It also comes with the same projector halogen headlights but misses out on LED DRLs. As for the side profile, he mentions that it gets black door handles and ORVMs, and it also comes with 14-inch silver steel wheels.
Other highlights of the Dzire Tour S include a body-colored shark fin antenna, LED taillights, and a “Tour S” badge on the left side of the boot lid. Maruti Suzuki is offering the new Tour S in three colors, namely - Arctic White, Splendid Silver, and Bluish Black.
Interior
As for the interior, the new Dzire comes equipped with the same layout as the standard base trim Dzire. Its list of features includes a manual air conditioning system, all-four power windows, keyless entry, and adjustable headrests for the front seats. The Tour S misses out on the factory-fitted infotainment system.
India's first five-star BNCAP taxi
The main highlight of the Maruti Suzuki Tour S, as stated above, is safety. The standard Dzire has scored a perfect five-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests, and as the Dzire Tour S is based on the same car, it has now become the country's first five-star safety-rated taxi.
Its list of safety features includes six airbags, which cover the driver, passenger, side, and curtain airbags. It also gets electronic stability control, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, and brake assist. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki has also equipped it with reverse parking sensors and a speed warning system.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour S: Powertrain
Now, coming to the powertrain options, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour S is offered with two engine options. The first is the standard 1.2-litre petrol engine, which is capable of producing 82 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque. It comes only with a 5-speed manual gearbox and offers a fuel efficiency of 24.69 kmpl. Its top speed has been restricted to 80 kmph.
On the other hand, to help taxi aggregators, the company is also offering the Tour S with a CNG powertrain as well. The CNG version comes with a 1.2-litre CNG kit-equipped drivetrain that is capable of producing 70 PS of power and 102 Nm of torque. It also gets a single 5-speed gearbox. As per the company, the mileage of the Dzire Tour S CNG is 33.73 km/kg.
