Victoris Offers 10 Features Never Seen Before In A Maruti Arena Car

Maruti Suzuki Victoris, the latest entrant in the compact SUV space, has been packaged well and priced aggressively. It will be sold through the Arena network. Usually, Arena products are known for being affordable and decently kitted. The Victoris, however, comes loaded with tech and features. Here are 10 features that it has, but other Arena cars miss out on...
Unlike other models sold through Arena, the Victoris comes with UV-cut glasses. These filter out over 82% of harmful UV (Ultraviolet) rays (UV-A and UV-B) from the light coming into the cabin. This helps in reducing the heat inside, and increases the cooling efficiency.
UV-cut glass often has a slight green tint to it. Nexa products like the Baleno, Fronx, and XL6 already come with UV-cut glasses. The Victoris has made it debut on the Arena lineup as well.
A key standout feature of the Victoris is its audio system- an eight-speaker unit from Infinity that features Dolby Atmos 5.1 Surround Sound. It is the first time that Maruti Suzuki is offering such an advanced sound system on an Arena model. This sound system, could in fact, outperform those on more expensive NEXA products with its quality and audio experience.
The Victoris is also the first Arena SUV to offer All Wheel Drive ( AWD) tech. AWD variants feature automatic transmission as well. This is the first Arena product to offer this combination. It is available on the Zxi+ and Zxi+ (O) variants.
Higher variants also come with a large, panoramic sunroof. This is, in fact, the same unit that’s found in the Grand Vitara. It is for the first time that an Arena product gets a panoramic sunroof. The new Brezza and Dzire come with single-pane units.
Maruti offers ventilated seats on its Nexa products like the Grand Vitara. The Victoris is the first Arena product to come with this feature. Ventilated seats can be of great help in India’s hot humid climate. Both Zxi+ and Zxi+ (O) variants get this feature.
The higher variants of Victoris come with a powered tailgate, which can be opened and closed with just the press of a button. This also has gesture control and can be very useful in daily life. The electric tailgate also offers an ‘anti-pinch’ feature. This SUV is the first Maruti Suzuki to offer an electric tailgate. The Zxi, Zxi (O), Zxi+ and Zxi+ (O) variants come equipped with this feature.
Maruti Victoris is also equipped with level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System). It offers features like lane-keeping assistance, front collision warning, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and blind spot monitoring. Just the range-topping 1.5L petrol automatic variants (Zxi+ and Zxi+ (O) trims) get this feature.
CNG variants of the Victoris start at Rs 11.49 lakh, ex-showroom. These come in Lxi, Vxi, and Zxi trims and feature an integrated underbelly tank. This is the first time that any Maruti offers this smart layout. It prevents the CNG tank from consuming usable boot space.
This SUV also comes with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster that offers good display quality. It gives the driver key information like speed, rpms, fuel efficiency, range, fuel level, CNG level, and more. It also displays ADAS information as well.
Again a first in the Arena lineup, the Victoris comes with four USB C ports, one of which connects you to the infotainment unit while the rest function as charging points. Even on the Dzire, Maruti Suzuki had given a type A point at the front. This seems to have changed on the new SUV. Type-C ports offer faster charging and data transfer to modern phones.
