The Victoris has replaced Brezza as the new flagship product in Maruti Suzuki’s Arena lineup. It has a starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh, ex-showroom, and comes well packaged. There are a total of 21 variants on offer, spread across seven broad trims. The Brezza, on the other hand, starts at Rs 8.26 lakh, ex-showroom, under the new GST regime. The target crowd of both vehicles is highly sensitive to price and value. Getting the packaging right on the entry-level variants is thus important. A video shared on the channel Salahcar shows how the LXI variant of the Victoris compares to that of the Brezza.

Victoris LXI Vs Brezza LXI: Design, Dimensions And Boot

The video starts with the host comparing the prices of both base variants. The base CNG variant of the Victoris starts at Rs 11.50 lakh, ex-showroom, while that of the Brezza has an ex-showroom price of Rs 10.5 lakh. It then moves to comparing the dimensions of these SUVs.

Spanning 3995 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, 1685 mm in height, and with a wheelbase of 2500mm, the Brezza is fairly large. The Victoris is larger and comes with a length, width, and height of 4,360 mm, 1,795 mm, and 1,655 mm, respectively. The wheelbase here is 2600mm. It is even longer than the Grand VItara. The size difference translates to more room and a better cabin experience.

The base-spec Brezza comes with body-coloured side view mirrors and door handles, while the Victoris LXI gets these in Black. The Victoris LXI comes with four discs, while on the base-spec Brezza, the rear gets drum brakes. The tyre size is different as well.

The Brezza LXI comes with a normal key with just two buttons- for lock/unlock functions. The Victoris, however, gets a request sensor and keyfob even on the base variant. AT the rear, the base-spec Victoris misses out on the connecting lightbar and gets an opaque design element instead. A lot of Black trims can be found at various places of its design.

The tail lamps are LED units, and the SUV has rear defogger, rear parking sensors and a shark fin antenna as well. The Brezza lacks many of these features on the base variant.

brezza boot space

The host then compares the boot space of these SUVs. The Victoris offers 483 liters of storage. The Brezza on the other hand, offers just 328 liters.

Maruti doesn’t provide headrests for the rear seat on the Brezza. The Victoris, on the other hand, comes with adjustable headrests and three-point seats belts at the rear. Brezza LXI gets a sparewheel, while the Victoris lacks one and comes with a puncture repair kit.

Interior And Space

The rear row of Brezza LXI offers decent knee room and leg room. It comes with rear AC vents but misses out on charging points for rear-seat occupants. In the Victoris, rear occupants get better-positioned rear AC vents, an armrest with cupholders, more room and better comfort. The cabin uses better quality materials and is better laid out than that of the Brezza.

The base variant of Victoris, however, comes with decent kit levels. It has push-button start/stop, four power windows, traction control, steering-mounted controls, analog instrument cluster with colour MID, a seven-inch touchscreen with 2-speaker Clarion audio, and Android Auto and Apple Carplay, voice commands, auto AC, manual IRVM, and a lot of safety features (six airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control, three-point seatbelts for all seats and more).

Specifications

The Victoris LXi is only available with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (K15) mild hybrid engine that makes 103 hp. The Brezza is powered by a version of the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 101 hp. There is a notable difference in the fuel efficiencies of these though. Due to its efficient mild-hybrid tech, the Victoris will deliver higher mileage in real life.

The bigger difference is in the CNG variants. The Victoris CNG has an engine output of 88 hp and is claimed to deliver 27.02 km/kg, while the Brezza LXi with its CNG engine is claimed to deliver around 25.51 km/kg. Making the deal sweeter, the Victoris CNG offers a spacious, usable boot, as the CNG tank is integrated into the car’s underbelly. The Brezza, on the other hand, has its CNG tank inside the boot, making it nearly unusable.
