Maruti Suzuki Boosts Warranty On All Its Cars And SUVs: 3 Years/100,000 Kms Warranty Now Standard
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced major upgrades to its warranty programs. In order to increase customer satisfaction and peace of mind, it has increased the standard warranty for all its vehicles to 3 years or 100,000 km. This new standard warranty will become effective from July 9th, 2024. This new policy is an extension from the previous 2 years or 40,000 km. This will help Maruti Suzuki provide greater peace of mind and value to its customers.
Enhanced Standard Warranty Details
The new standard warranty is a comprehensive package covering essential vehicle components. This includes the engine, transmission, mechanical components, electrical systems, and air conditioning systems, with consumables being the only exclusion. This enhanced coverage ensures that customers can enjoy free repairs at any Maruti Suzuki authorized service center nationwide throughout the warranty period.
New Extended Warranty Packages
Alongside the enhanced standard warranty, Maruti Suzuki has introduced new extended warranty options as well. These packages offer extended coverage, allowing customers to choose plans that best suit their needs. The first is the new Platinum Package. It extends the warranty up to 4 years or 120,000 km.
Then there is the Royal Platinum Package. This package extends the warranty up to 5 years or 140,000 km. Lastly, there is the Solitaire Package. This package extends the warranty up to 6 years or 160,000 km.
Scope of Coverage
Maruti Suzuki has also broadened the scope of its 4th and 5th-year extended warranty packages. With the new revision, the coverage for 11 high-value parts, which was previously limited to the duration of the standard warranty, has now been extended.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales at MSIL, stated, “At Maruti Suzuki, we strive to have customers for life. In line with this commitment, we have enhanced our standard warranty coverage to 3 years or 1,00,000 km to provide greater value to our customers.”
He added, “Furthermore, we have introduced extended warranty packages for up to 6 years or 1,60,000 km and revised the scope of 4th year and 5th-year extended warranty packages. The enhanced standard warranty and updated extended warranty packages will offer our customers added convenience and peace of mind, ultimately enhancing their overall ownership experience.”
