Maruti Swift Blitz Edition Launched: Offers 50K Worth Of Accessories Free

Maruti Suzuki is launching a slew of Limited Edition versions of its popular cars in a boost sales during this festive season. The latest in this direction is the Swift Blitz Edition, which is essentially an accessorized version of the hatchback.
It’s available with LXi, VXi, VXi (O), VXi AMT and VXi AMT (O) trims of the car. Both petrol and CNG versions of the Maruti Swift can be specified with the Blitz Edition accessory pack.
The Maruti Swift Blitz Edition features a range of accessories worth Rs. 49,848 that will be offered at no extra cost to the customer. In other words, when a customer opts for the Blitz Edition of the Swift, he or she has to simply pay the dealer the regular price of the variant opted for, and the dealer will add the Blitz Edition accessory pack as a freebie. Notably, the Blitz Edition accessory pack is not available in the top end ZXi trims of the Swift.
As for accessories offered through the Blitz Edition, the Swift gets a front bumper spoiler, rear underbody spoiler, a hatch lid spoiler, fog lamps, illuminated door sills, door visors, side body mouldings and an interior kit.
Many of these accessories have been on offer with the new Swift through the Maruti Genuine Accessories route but it’s the first time that the automaker is combining them into a festive special edition pack.
Mechanically, the Swift Blitz Edition will remain exactly the same as the regular version. The car is powered by a 1.2 liter-3 cylinder Z-Series naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 82 Bhp of peak power and 112 Nm of peak torque.
The same engine can also be opted for with CNG. In CNG mode, peak power drops to 70 Bhp while peak torque remains the same at 112 Nm. Gearbox options include a 5 speed manual and a 5 speed AMT. Prices for the Swift start from Rs. 6.49 lakh, ex-showroom, and go all the way up to Rs. 9.6 lakh for the top-end ZXI AMT trims.
The 4th generation Maruti Suzuki Swift competes with the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, the Tata Tiago and the Citroen C3. Sales so far have been quite good, with the new Swift averaging well over 10,000 units each month.
The Maruti Suzuki Swift was introduced earlier this year in India, as the fourth generation model of the highly successful badge. On the 4th of November 2024, Maruti Suzuki will launch the Dzire, which is essentially the compact sedan version of the Swift.
Measuring under 4 meters in length, the 4th generation Dzire will make breakaway from the traditional Swift-like looks. Instead, it will get a completely revised design, giving it a appearance quite distinct from that of the Swift.
Notably, this is the first time that the Dzire is getting complete differentiation from the Swift. For three generation, it was always seen as a Swift with a sedan-style 3 box body. The fresh design language is expected to make the Dzire appeal to a wider set of buyers, especially at a time when the bottom seems slipping from hatchbacks and sedans, in favour of compact SUVs. The all-new Dzire will share its mechanicals with the Swift while interiors will get a different colour scheme.
