Maruti Victoris LXi Base Variant In A Detailed Walkaround Video: Good Enough For You?

Maruti officially launched their all-new mid-size SUV Victoris in the Indian market last week. The official prices for the Maruti Victoris start at Rs 10.5 lakh, and the top-end variant is priced at around Rs 19.99 lakh, ex-showroom. It is the flagship SUV in the Arena lineup and sits above the Brezza. The Victoris has started arriving at dealerships, and here we have a detailed walkaround video that shows what Maruti is offering in the base LXi variant of the Victoris SUV.
The video has been shared by Salahcar on their YouTube channel. The video was recorded at the stockyard of a Maruti dealer in Haryana. The base variant of the car is available in three colour options – White, Silver, and Grey.
The front of the SUV gets a brushed aluminium strip that runs across the width of the car. Instead of LED DRLs, we can see dotted chrome elements in the headlamp cluster. The headlights on the base variant are halogen projector units, and the SUV also gets halogen turn indicators.
There are no fog lamps, and we can also see functional air curtains on the bumper. The bumper design remains the same as the higher models, including the faux skid plate. Coming to the side profile, you will notice that the Victoris base variant is offered with black ORVMs and door handles. However, the driver-side door gets a request sensor even in the base variant.
The SUV is using 17-inch steel rims, and the thick black cladding on the lower part of the car and the squared wheel arches are the same as higher variants. There are no roof rails, and we also notice that the rear quarter panel on the Victoris gets a black plastic insert instead of a body-coloured unit. As we move to the rear, you would notice the sleek LED tail lamps, but there is no connected LED light bar on the tailgate. Instead, you get a gloss black panel.
Victoris branding along with the Smart Hybrid badge can be seen on the tailgate. Moving in, the driver’s cabin is loaded with features for a base variant. There is fabric material on the door pads, you also get a touchscreen infotainment system, a multi-function steering wheel, and blacked-out fabric seats with no height adjustment for the driver’s seat.
The instrument cluster is analogue with an MID in the center. The steering is tilt-adjustable, and the gear knob is also a basic unit. You get AC controls like the ones seen in the higher models, and there is also a rear defogger and manual IRVM feature. The ORVMs are electrically adjustable, and the driver-side window gets a one-touch function.
The vlogger sits on the rear seat with his friends and finds that the car has enough space for 2 people, but a third person will not be comfortable on longer journeys. The car also gets an adjustable armrest for the driver with storage underneath.
The dashboard is finished in dual-tone, and we also see a gloss black diamond pattern on the dashboard and doors. Overall, even the base variant of the Victoris feels feature-loaded, and it is available with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with a manual gearbox.
The LXi variant is also offered with CNG for customers who want better efficiency. If you want to watch the detailed review of the all-new Maruti Victoris, it is available on our YouTube channel.
