What Maruti Suzuki Victoris Offers That Hyundai Creta And Kia Seltos Don't

Maruti Suzuki India Limited recently surprised everyone with the launch of the Victoris mid-size SUV. This new SUV will be sold via the Maruti Suzuki Arena outlets. Now, many people are calling the Victoris the Hyundai Creta killer, as it offers a number of features which the Korean rival does not. In addition to the Creta, it also outshines its cousin, the Kia Seltos, as both the Creta and Seltos use the exact same platform. So, without any delay, let's just get right into the topic.
The newly launched Victoris comes offered with both a mild hybrid as well as a strong hybrid powertrain. The mild hybrid setup gets a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine making 103 PS and 139 Nm of torque. It gets mild hybrid assistance and comes offered with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
On the other hand, the strong hybrid powertrain Victoris also gets a 1.5-litre ICE motor paired with an electric motor. In total, it makes 116 PS of power and 141 Nm of torque. It only comes with an eCVT gearbox. The Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos are offered with three powertrain options.
These include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine making 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol making 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which makes 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed MT, CVT, 7-speed DCT, and a 6-speed automatic.
What makes the Maruti Suzuki Victoris unique in the mid-size SUV segment is that it is offered with an AWD system with the automatic gearbox option. Buyers can get the AWD automatic gearbox with the 1.5-litre mild hybrid powertrain. The Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos, along with a number of other Victoris rivals, all miss out on the AWD system and only offer a front-wheel-drive layout.
Another distinctive feature which the Maruti Suzuki Victoris offers is the underbody CNG tank. It has become the first-ever Maruti Suzuki model to get an underbody CNG tank. With this, the boot space of this SUV does not get compromised. Both the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos do not get a CNG powertrain option.
To enhance the audio experience of the owners, Maruti Suzuki is offering the Victoris with an 8-speaker Infinity by Harman audio system. In addition to this, the SUV also gets Dolby Atmos surround sound support, which elevates the experience. The Creta and the Seltos, on the other hand, get a Bose premium sound 8-speaker system with front central speaker & sub-woofer.
A feature which is only being offered on the Victoris in the entire mid-size SUV segment is a powered tailgate with gesture controls. This feature is generally seen on the more expensive and premium SUVs, and it is now being offered by Maruti on the Victoris. As for the Creta and Seltos, they both get manually operable tailgates. This particular feature is also not available on the Maruti Suzuki Grand, which is sold by the Nexa premium dealership network of Maruti Suzuki.
