Mercedes-Benz has launched the new GLS 450 AMG Line in the country at ₹1.40 crore (ex-showroom) for the petrol version and 1.43 crore for the 450d diesel version. This is the sharper, sportier looking version of the GLS SUV and brings serious power along with luxury features. It is made for those who want a big SUV that can go fast, look sporty, and still offer all the comfort and space that a GLS is known for.

Under the bonnet, the GLS 450 AMG Line is offered with two V6 (6 cylinder) engines: a petrol motor with 375 Bhp and 500 Nm, and a diesel motor with 362 Bhp and 750 Nm. These engines help the SUV go from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 6.1 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 kilometres per hour.

The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and the 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. This setup helps the big SUV stay stable while turning, and it also gives good grip on different road surfaces. The suspension is adaptive and adjusts based on driving conditions to give both comfort and control.

Design That Matches the Power

The Mercedes GLS 450 AMG Line looks bold and sporty. It gets a large front grille with vertical slats, aggressive bumpers, and side skirts. New LED lights at the front and rear, along with 21-inch alloy wheels, give it a powerful road presence. The SUV also has a blacked out look, and AMG badging.

Inside the Cabin

The interior of the GLS 450 AMG Line is just as impressive as the outside. It comes with Nappa leather upholstery, and AMG branded pedals. The dashboard has two large 12.3-inch screens that show driving information and control the infotainment system.

There are plenty of comfort features too. The front seats are ventilated and come with massage functions. The rear seats have entertainment screens and their own climate control. Even the third row offers decent space, although it is more suitable for children or short trips. With all seats up, the boot still has space for a few bags, making it practical for families.

Despite its large size, the GLS 450 AMG line is designed to well. The suspension and steering adjust based on driving mode. In Comfort mode, the ride is smooth and quiet. In Sport mode, the car feels sharper and more responsive.

The air suspension allows the SUV to lower or raise itself, which helps while driving on rough roads or while parking. Multiple cameras and sensors assist with parking and driving in traffic.

Aimed at a Specific Buyer

The GLS 450 AMG line is designed for people who want a powerful SUV with luxury features and that extra bit of individualism. It is not an electric or hybrid car, and that is part of its appeal. It offers smooth V6 petrol and diesel performance that some buyers still look for in a world that is slowly moving to cleaner fuel options.

This model sits above the regular GLS in terms of positi9oning. It competes with other premium SUVs like the BMW X7 and Audi Q7, offering seven seats with the added thrill of AMG looks.

Clear Purpose

It gives buyers the chance to own a large SUV that can go fast, look bold, and carry the whole family. It combines performance with comfort and space, and it does so without trying to be something it is not. For those who want this mix of traits, the GLS 450 AMG line delivers with confidence.
