JSW MG Motor, even before the official launch of its electric sports car, the Cyberster EV, in India, has already managed to set a new record. The company recently took its Cyberster EV to Sambhar Salt Lake in Rajasthan and achieved a record of going from 0-100 kmph in 3.2 seconds. This particular MG Cyberster EV was driven by Indian F4 driver Mira Erda.

MG Cyberster EV Sets New Record

The video of the MG Cyberster EV setting the land speed record in 2025 has been shared on YouTube by MG Select on their channel. In this short video, F4 driver Mira Erda can be seen arriving at Sambhar Lake in Rajasthan in a helicopter. Following this, the video then shows glimpses of prior land speed records from 1957 and 1959 that were set in the USA.

MG’s official video then shows the F4 driver starting the Cyberster EV and pushing it to the absolute limits. After this, a few drone and beauty shots of this electric sports car are shown. Finally, the racer drifts the Cyberster EV, and the video shows the record of Asia’s fastest acceleration, going from 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. This record has been acknowledged and verified by the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.

MG Cyberster EV

The Cyberster EV is an electric sports car from JSW MG Motor. At the moment, the company has not officially launched the Cyberster EV in India; however, it is believed that the pricing will be around ₹70-80 lakh. In terms of design, the MG Cyberster EV looks like a proper supercar with its sleek, long bonnet, sharp body lines, sweptback LED projector headlights with LED DRLs, and a honeycomb-pattern lower front grille finished in gloss black.

Apart from these, this sports car comes equipped with iconic scissor doors that are electronically operated. This vehicle also gets unique 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and black ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. As for the rear, the MG Cyberster EV gets two arrow-shaped LED taillights with a connecting light bar in the middle. It also comes with a wide rear diffuser.

On the inside, the MG Cyberster EV features a red-and-black color theme. Its dashboard features a triple-screen layout. It also gets a 7-inch digital instrument gauge cluster for the driver, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and a 7-inch touchscreen for AC controls. MG has taken inspiration from a fighter jet for this electric sports car.

Other features of the MG Cyberster EV include an 8-speaker premium Bose audio system, 6 airbags, electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Its ADAS features include lane-keep assist, active emergency braking, and others.

MG Cyberster EV: Powertrain

Powering the MG Cyberster EV is a dual electric motor setup. In total, this drivetrain produces 510 PS of power and 725 Nm of torque. It also comes with an AWD system. As for the battery pack, it comes equipped with a 77 kWh unit, which offers a range of 443 km on a single full charge. At the moment, MG Cyberster EV does not have any competitors in India. However, it can take on the BMW Z4 sports car in India.
