MG Motor India is gearing up to launch the new Windsor EV in the country in the coming weeks. Ahead of the same, the manufacturer has announced attractive discounts on various existing models. The current MG lineup consists of the Gloster, Hector, Astor, ZS EV, and the Comet. It is the Gloster that gets the biggest cuts. Here’s everything to know about these discounts…

MG Gloster: Up to Rs 6 lakh off

MG’s flagship three-row SUV Gloster is available with discounts of up to Rs 6 lakh. With a mid-life facelift headed for India, now could be the best time to buy the pre-facelift model. MG Gloster is currently priced between Rs 38.80 lakh and Rs 43.87 lakh, and it competes with models like the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and Nissan X-Trail.

MG Hector: Up to Rs 3 lakh off

MG Hector

The Hector, a rival to the Tata Harrier/Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and Mahindra XUV700, is being offered with benefits worth up to Rs 3 lakh. Prices for the Hector start at Rs 13.99 lakh for the five-seat version and Rs 17 lakh for the three-row Hector Plus. The SUV comes with two engine options: a 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel and a 143hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol.

MG Astor: Up to Rs 2 lakh off

The MG Astor, which competes with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, is available with up to Rs 2 lakh off. Starting at Rs 9.98 lakh, the Astor is one of the most affordable midsize SUVs in India. It comes with either a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit, with transmission options including a 5-speed manual, CVT, or 6-speed automatic.

MG ZS EV: Up to Rs 2.2 lakh off

The fully electric ZS EV is available with discounts of up to Rs 2.2 lakh. It features a 50.3kWh battery pack that offers an ARAI-certified range of 461km per charge. The electric motor produces 176hp and 280Nm of torque. The ZS EV is priced from Rs 18.98 lakh to Rs 25.44 lakh.

MG Comet EV: Up to Rs 90,000 off

MG’s entry-level electric vehicle, the Comet EV, is being offered with up to Rs 90,000 in discounts. With prices ranging from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.53 lakh, the Comet EV is the most affordable electric car in India. It comes with a 17.3kWh battery pack offering a range of 230km per charge, and the rear-mounted motor delivers 42hp and 110Nm of torque.

Actual discounts on these products may vary based on location and stock availability. So it’s advised to check with your local MG dealer for more accurate information.

MG Gloster Facelift: What To Expect?

The upcoming MG Gloster facelift is expected to retain much of the exterior design cues of the D90. These include horizontal slats on the large front grille, slightly revised bumpers, and additional chrome accents, particularly on the front grille. The facelift will also introduce redesigned split-LED headlamps with prominent Daytime Running Lamps, new alloy wheels, and refreshed tail lamps connected by a full-width light bar.

Inside, the facelifted Gloster will feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the current 12.3-inch unit. Spy shots suggest the driver’s display will likely be a fully digital TFT unit with customizable interfaces. The cabin will adopt an all-black layout, a shift from the tan upholstery seen in the pre-facelift model.

Mechanically, the facelifted Gloster will continue to be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine, be available in both 4×2 and 4×4 forms. While MG Motor has not yet revealed the exact launch timeline, it is expected to hit the market by the end of this year. Given the updates, the facelifted Gloster will likely be priced higher than the outgoing model.
