MG Motor India is readying to introduce a D-segment SUV- the Majestor. Upon launch, it will likely be sold alongside the Gloster, and will go against the Fortuner Legender. With time still remaining for the market debut, the Majestor has now been spotted on test on public roads. New spy pictures reveal the massive size and road presence that are to be expected.

In the pictures, the Majestor is seen following a Mahindra XUV 700. The Mahindra looks quite intimidated by the giant proportions of the MG SUV. If you remember, the XUV measures 4,695 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width and 1,755 mm in height.

The Majestor is 5046mm long, 2016mm wide and 1876mm tall. The wheelbase stands at 2950mm. It is thus longer, wider and taller than the Legender itself! The length, width and height of the Fortuner Legender are 4,795 mm, 1,855 mm, and 1,835 mm respectively! The massive size and tasteful design will give the Majestor road presence, and we can't wait to see these on our roads...

More About The MG Majestor

JSW MG Motor India unveiled the Majestor at the Auto Expo 2025. It looks like a heavily facelifted version of the Gloster (which it actually is). The facelifted Maxus D90 is being brought to India as the Majestor. It will be powered by the same engines as the outgoing Gloster. Retails will commence through the newly set-up MG Select dealerships.

The SUV sports an all-new front fascia, inspired by its international sibling. The face is dominated by a large blacked-out grille with horizontal slats and a bold, central MG badge. You also get to see split headlamps with sleek LED DRLs.

To give it a more rugged look, there’s a silver skid plate, full-length black cladding on the sides, and black accents on the door handles, window line, and ORVMs. The Majestor will ride on 19-inch, six-spoke, diamond-cut alloy wheels.

At the rear, it will have connected LED tail lamps, a blacked-out trim below the rear glass, and a sleek roof spoiler with an integrated LED stop lamp. A rear wiper and washer will also be offered.

Will Have A Black Cabin And Loads Of Tech

The MG Majestor will have a luxurious all-black interior theme. The center of attention would be a free-standing 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The vehicle will also come with a customisable all-digital instrument cluster.

The feature array is also known to include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated front seats, power-adjustable driver’s seat with massage, three-zone climate control, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker premium sound system, and an electric tailgate.

To Get Level 2 ADAS

The Majestor will come with a Level 2 ADAS suite. Features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, etc will be part of the package. Other safety features will include a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamps and wipers, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.

Same Powertrains As The Gloster

Under the hood, the Majestor retains the 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine from the Gloster. This four-cylinder unit will deliver 216 bhp and 479 Nm of torque and come mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, with both 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain options.

Expected Price And Rivals

MG is expected to price the Majestor between ₹40 lakh and ₹45 lakh (ex-showroom). It will directly compete with popular full-size SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner Legender, the new Skoda Kodiaq, the Jeep Meridian, and the Nissan X-Trail.
