MG Motor Lines Up Big August Discounts: Upto Rs. 4 Lakh Off

The Chinese-owned, British-origin brand, now owned by JSW MG Motor India, is celebrating its sixth anniversary with attractive pricing that spans electric vehicles and traditional petrol-diesel offerings.
The most substantial savings come on the full-size Gloster SUV, where buyers can secure benefits worth Rs 4 lakh. This flagship model leads the discount brigade, making the premium seven-seater more accessible to families seeking luxury without the usual premium price tag.
The campaign covers MG's core models: the compact Comet EV, mid-size Astor, versatile Hector range, electric ZS EV, and the premium Gloster. Each model comes with varying discount structures that combine direct price cuts, exchange bonuses, loyalty rewards, and corporate benefits.
The entry-level Comet EV, positioned as the country's most affordable electric vehicle, offers savings up to Rs 56,000. The 2024 model variants including Excite FC and Exclusive FC receive Rs 28,000 as cash discount alongside additional loyalty and corporate bonuses totalling Rs 56,000. The newer 2025 model year units see slightly trimmed benefits at Rs 56,000 for Excite FC, Exclusive FC, and Blackstorm variants, whilst Excite and Exclusive variants get Rs 28,000 savings.
This pricing strategy reflects MG's push to clear older inventory whilst maintaining competitive pricing on newer stock. The Comet EV's positioning becomes even sharper against rivals like the Tiago EV when these discounts are factored in.
The Astor compact SUV receives benefits worth Rs 35,000, specifically targeting the Petrol MT Sprint variant through loyalty and corporate bonuses. This represents a more modest but meaningful reduction for buyers in the hotly contested compact SUV segment where every rupee counts.

The Hector Sharp Pro 1.5P MT variant sees a massive Rs 2.14 lakh reduction from its regular price, whilst the Snowstorm and Blackstorm editions receive cuts approaching Rs 2 lakh. The six-seater Hector Plus witnesses even steeper reductions, with the Sharp Pro 1.5P MT variant dropping by Rs 2.30 lakh.
These aren't traditional dealer-level incentives but manufacturer-level price adjustments, making the Hector range significantly more competitive against established players like the Safari and XUV700.
The ZS EV presents a tale of two discount approaches. The base Executive variant receives the largest benefit package worth Rs 1.34 lakh, comprising Rs 94,000 cash discount plus additional bonuses. Other variants in the range receive more modest Rs 40,000 benefits.
