4 Upcoming MG Cars In India

MG Motor India is gearing up for an aggressive product rollout in 2025, with four highly anticipated vehicles across different segments. The upcoming line-up reflects MG's intent to expand its presence in both premium and mass-market electric categories, offering a mix of performance, comfort, and practicality.
The MG Cyberster will be unlike anything currently on Indian roads. It is a two-door, all-electric convertible roadster designed to combine dramatic styling with serious performance. Expect scissor doors, a low-slung profile, and a minimalist yet futuristic cockpit with layered screens and drive-focused ergonomics.
Under the hood, the Cyberster gets dual electric motors delivering around 500 horsepower and over 700 Nm of torque. This gives it a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of just 3.2 seconds, placing it firmly in sportscar territory. The 77 kWh battery offers up to 580 km of range on the global test cycle, making it not just fast but long-legged too.
MG is expected to position the Cyberster at the top end of its India portfolio with a price around ₹80 lakh. It will likely arrive via the CBU route in the second half of 2025.
MG is also preparing to enter the luxury MPV space with the all-electric M9. While full specifications for the India-bound version are yet to be confirmed, the model is expected to offer three-row seating with top-tier comfort and tech.
The MPV will focus on business-class levels of interior quality and convenience. A large panoramic sunroof, reclining middle-row seats, and dual-screen entertainment setups are likely to be part of the package. Power output is expected to be in the 240 horsepower range, with a driving range of around 430 km.
The M9 is expected to cater to a niche audience of family movers and chauffeur-driven buyers. Its pricing could start near ₹70 lakh and it is anticipated to arrive around July 2025.
The Majestor is MG’s answer to large ladder-frame SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner and MG's own Gloster. Based on the Maxus D90 from the brand’s global portfolio, the Majestor will be positioned as a full-size SUV with a proper 4x4 system.
It is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine producing around 213 bhp and 478 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. On the inside, the Majestor will bring premium finishes, a large infotainment setup, digital driver’s display, and a host of safety features including ADAS.
It is slated to launch in India around August 2025 and could carry a price tag of around ₹46 lakh.
The fourth product in MG’s pipeline is expected to be the all-new S5, which will replace the ZS EV in India. While the ZS EV helped MG establish itself in the electric space, the S5 is a major upgrade in every respect. With a sharper design, improved range, and a modern cabin layout, it is aimed at mainstream EV buyers.
Globally, the S5 is based on a new architecture and offers improved battery options with range figures nearing the 450 km mark. The interior is more tech-loaded with dual displays, wireless charging, connected features, and active safety systems. Expect it to be priced between ₹22 to ₹28 lakh when it launches in late 2025.
A Diversified EV Push
From niche high-performance machines to practical family EVs, MG's 2025 strategy aims to cater to a broad spectrum of buyers. With the Cyberster leading the charge in style, the M9 and Majestor bringing comfort and size, and the S5 appealing to everyday users, MG seems ready to make an even stronger statement in India’s evolving automotive market.
