MG Cyberster Sportscar And M9 Electric MPV Pre-Reservations Start: Launch And Deliveries Soon

Last year, MG had announced their plans to introduce a premium dealership network for their upcoming premium EVs. Their electric sports car Cyberster and the luxury MPV M9 were among the first products to be sold via the MG Select dealerships. This is part of their product expansion strategy. MG will be launching these EVs this year and pre-reservation for these vehicles have now commenced ahead of launch.

Pre-reservations Open

Pre-reservations for the Cyberster electric sports car & M9 electric MPV has started ahead of its launch. The EVs can be reserved for a token amount of Rs 51,000 and the bookings for these EVs can be done by either visiting the nearest dealership or via company website.

The official launch of the Cyberster sportscar and the M9 MPV is likely to happen in the coming weeks. MG will be launching these EVs in the coming months and deliveries for the same would begin in Q2 this year. MG will be offering the Cyberster & M9 EV via Select dealerships across 13 cities in India. The cities include Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kochi and Surat. MG is likely to launch both these electric vehicles at a competitive price tag.

Cyberster

MG showcased the Cyberster EV at the Bharat Mobility Expo this year. After the expo, the sports car was spotted on the road as well. It is an extremely sporty-looking, two-door sports car. This is an electric vehicle, though many might mistake it for an ICE-powered car.

The Indian version of the Cyberster will come with a 77 kWh battery pack and a twin-motor setup. The electric motors will generate 510 Bhp and 725 Nm of peak torque. This electric sports car can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and has a claimed range of 580 km on a single charge.

The MG Cyberster is not going to be an affordable offering. It is expected to cost around ₹60–80 lakh (ex-showroom). MG is likely to launch this electric sports car in the next couple of months.

M9

The M9 electric MPV has been showcased by MG at various expos. However, they have now confirmed that they will be bringing it to India.In terms of design, the MPV looks similar to the Toyota Vellfire. It appears huge and spacious on the inside.

In terms of features, M9 will come with electrically opening and closing sliding doors, multi-zone climate control, leatherette upholstery, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, ventilated seats with massage function, ambient lights, premium speaker system, privacy glass partition for rear passengers, level 2 ADAS features and so on.

Coming to the specifications, the MG M9 is powered by a 90 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed driving range of about 580 km. This battery pack generates 241 Bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. Internationally, the MPV is available in just two shades: Black Pearl and White Pearl. It will compete with the likes of the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire and is expected to be launched at a price of ₹60–65 lakh.
