MG Windsor Pro: Pictures Leak Ahead Of 6th May Launch
Just before the official launch of the MG Windsor Pro, we have got our hands on the fully revealed exterior and interior images of this upcoming CUV. These images show the complete vehicle in an undisguised avatar, and compared to the current model, there are a handful of changes. MG Motor India will be officially taking off the covers from the Windsor Pro on May 6.
MG Windsor Pro: Fully undisguised
First off, let's start with the front of the upcoming MG Windsor Pro. We can note that the overall design looks exactly the same as the current model. However, if you look closely at the windshield, you will be able to note the camera which will be used for the ADAS Level 2 that will be offered with the Windsor Pro.
Most likely, the company will be offering adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, collision avoidance system, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, and many other features as part of its ADAS suite. Apart from this, the Windsor Pro continues to get the same connected LED DRL, illuminated MG logo, split LED headlight design, and the lower front grille with chrome elements.
Moving on to the side profile, the main highlight is the offering of a new set of 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Currently, the Windsor EV features a set of 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels which have a five thick spoke design that gives it a retro vibe. However, these new wheels on the Windsor Pro are 10-spoke directional wheels which give it a more sporty appearance.
Both front and rear wheels get disc brakes in this new Pro model, like the standard model. It also gets the same flush-type door handles as well. As for the rear-end design, MG has not changed much, and it gets the same connected LED taillights, which give it a very futuristic appearance. The car also gets a rear spoiler with a reverse camera and reverse parking sensors.
Interior
There are a few different images of the interior of the MG Windsor Pro, and from those, we can note the biggest difference. This new model, instead of getting all-black leatherette seats, will be getting creamy white-colored seats.
The recently released teaser also showed that the Windsor Pro will get faux wood trims and copper accents as well. However, this particular vehicle did not have them.
Apart from the seats, the interior looks identical to the standard model. It still gets the same 15.6-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, 8.8-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, 9-speaker Infinity sound system, automatic climate control, cruise control, panoramic glass roof, and 135-degree reclining rear seats.
Powertrain
Although not visible from the images, the main highlight of the new MG Windsor Pro will be its larger 50.6 kWh battery pack. As per the reports, it will be providing a range of 460 km (CLTC claimed) on a single full charge.
However, the company will not be offering a bigger motor with this model. It will still get the same 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque-producing electric motor. Currently, the Windsor EV is offered with a 38 kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of 330 km.
