The South Korean automotive giant Hyundai has been working on the development of the new generation Venue. So far, we have seen test mules of this particular SUV being tested on the roads of South Korea. However, recently, for the first time, the top-of-the-line variant of the upcoming Venue sub-compact SUV was spotted testing in India. These spy images reveal a few key details about the soon-to-be-launched new Venue in India.

New Generation Venue: Details

First off, let's start with the front-end design of the upcoming Venue. This time around, as well, the company will be adopting the split headlamp design. It means that there will be LED DRLs on the top and LED projector headlights on the middle portion of the front bumper. However, this time around, the actual headlight housing will be changed.

Although the front of the Venue’s latest test mule was fully covered with a heavy black covering, we can still note that the vehicle will come equipped with a brand-new front grille, which will have hollow rectangular elements. These new elements replace the current model's dark chrome rectangular-shaped blocks. Additionally, the new Venue was spotted with a radar sensor on the lower front grille.

This means that the new Venue will be getting the much more advanced radar-based ADAS Level 2. Most likely, it will come equipped with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and others. Also, the front of this test mule was equipped with four front parking sensors. The bonnet of the new Venue also appears to be more squared off.

Side Profile

Moving on to the side profile of the recently spotted test mule, it can be noted that the vehicle gets chunky cladding on the front fender. This suggests that the new Venue will get a much more rugged appearance. Apart from this, the SUV will get standard pull-type door handles and pronounced silver roof rails.

Coming to the main highlight, the SUV gets a set of brand-new aero-style machined 16-inch alloy wheels. At the moment, the images of the rear of the new Venue have not been shared. However, it has been reported that it will be getting a set of brand-new LED taillights, which will be connected via an LED light bar. Also, a new and more aggressive rear bumper is expected.

Interior and Features

Presently, there are no clear images of the interior of the new Venue. However, it is being reported that it will come equipped with a new dashboard layout with connected 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and digital instrument gauge cluster. There could also be an addition of a panoramic sunroof, as its main rival, the Tata Nexon, offers it. Other features could include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charging pad, automatic climate control, and ventilated front seats.

Powertrain Options

As per the reports, Hyundai will not be offering any new powertrain options for the new-generation Venue. It will still come equipped with the same 1.0 turbo-petrol, 1.5 diesel, and 1.2 NA petrol engine options. As for the pricing, expect to see a slight bump over the current model’s price of Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.62 lakh due to numerous feature additions.
