The Japanese carmaker Nissan India is gearing up for the launch of its all-new flagship SUV, the fourth-generation X-Trail, in India. Now, prior to its official launch, it has started sharing teasers. The most recent teaser offers a closer look at its premium interior. Prior to this, the company showcased glimpses of the exterior of the upcoming X-Trail.

Interior Details Revealed in the New Teaser

The latest teaser, shared across Nissan India’s official social media channels, starts off with a glimpse of the floating infotainment touchscreen and its automatic climate control system. After this, it shows the panoramic sunroof and other premium features and the layout of the center console.

From the new Nissan X-Trail teaser, we can note that this will feature a seven-passenger configuration. It will get a bench seat in the second row and two additional seats in the third row. The cabin will boast an all-black theme but will come equipped with two-tone seat upholstery.

As mentioned, one of the standout features of the new X-Trail is its floating-type infotainment system. It is expected to be a sizable 12.3 inches. Complementing this screen will be a fully digital driver’s display, which is also likely to be 12.3 inches.

Apart from this, we can also note that the new fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail will come equipped with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. This will not only enhance the sense of space but also allow for a flood of natural light.

The SUV will also come with a dual-zone climate control system, a wireless smartphone charger, and keyless entry with push-button start for added convenience. The interior overall appears to be very premium and will match the quality of other premium SUVs available in the price bracket.

This teaser also highlights a split-type opening armrest with storage, a drive mode button, an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function, cup holders, and a gear lever for the 8-step CVT automatic transmission.

Design and Exterior Glimpses

Apart from this teaser, the company has already released another teaser that offers glimpses of the new X-Trail’s exterior design. It will feature a very modern design with sleek lines and a bold front grille. It will also get split LED headlights and LED taillights as well.

As per the reports, the Indian version of the Nissan X-Trail will come powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a CVT gearbox. The SUV is expected to make around 163 PS and 300 Nm of torque. This setup is expected to deliver a top speed of 200 kmph and an acceleration time from 0-100 kmph in 9.6 seconds.

Safety Features

In terms of safety, the new Nissan X-Trail is expected to come equipped with multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). These systems could include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, and front collision warning.

Pricing and Competition

As for the pricing, the Nissan X-Trail is anticipated to be priced between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom). This will place it in direct competition with established rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian.
