Next-Gen Mahindra Bolero Spotted Testing: Panoramic Sunroof Confirmed
The sightings of the upcoming Mahindra Bolero new generation are becoming more frequent with each passing day. Each of these sightings is now revealing new details about this soon-to-be-launched SUV. This time around, a few new details regarding the interior of the new Mahindra Bolero have been shared online. As per the reports, this new SUV will come equipped with a panoramic sunroof, semi-digital instrument gauge cluster, a floating touchscreen, and others.
Mahindra Scorpio-N to get more premium features
From the latest test mule spy images of the Mahindra Bolero, it has been noted that on the outside, the vehicle will be getting a set of 18-inch alloy wheels. This particular test mule was seen with the same diamond-cut alloy wheels seen on its elder and more premium sibling, the XUV700. Apart from it, the SUV was equipped with circular LED headlights at the front.
As per the reports, the images of the interior of this vehicle were not captured as the driver refused. However, it has been reported that the upcoming Mahindra Bolero will be getting a much more premium cabin. The main highlight of this vehicle will be the offering of a panoramic sunroof, as seen on the popular Mahindra SUVs.
Apart from it, the vehicle will be getting a Scorpio-N-like semi-digital instrument gauge cluster with a sizable TFT display. It will also come with a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, powered driver seat, and ventilated front seats.
Other highlights which were noted were that the new SUV will come with auto-dimming IRVM, automatic headlights and wipers, keyless remote entry, push button for start and stop, and ambient lighting, which adds to the premium appeal of the cabin.
Powertrain options
Presently, the reports have suggested that the Mahindra Bolero will come offered with both petrol as well as diesel engine options. Now, which exact engines will be offered has not been revealed. Currently, the Bolero and the Bolero Neo are offered with two diesel engine options — mHAWK75 making 75 PS of power and 210 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel motor, which makes 100 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque.
Both of these engines are currently only offered with manual gearboxes. However, it has been mentioned that the upcoming model will be getting both manual as well as automatic gearbox. It could be possible that Mahindra could be offering the new Bolero with the lower power-tune engine options of the Scorpio-N.

Presently, the Mahindra Bolero is a very consistent seller for the brand. It may not be useful for the urban buyer who lives in congested metro cities. However, it is one of the most popular SUVs in rural India, and people are still buying it to transport people and goods in hard-to-reach locations.
