The second-generation model promises to bring substantial changes to one of the country's most popular sub-four-meter SUVs, moving beyond a typical facelift to deliver comprehensive design and feature upgrades.

The announcement comes after months of with multiple spy shots revealing notable details about the upcoming model. Unlike previous updates that primarily focused on minor cosmetic changes, the 2025 Venue represents a complete reimagining of Hyundai's entry-level SUV offering.

Sharper Face, Stronger Stance

The new Venue adopts Hyundai's latest design philosophy, borrowing cues from larger siblings like the Creta and Alcazar. The front fascia receives a dramatic transformation, featuring a wide cascading grille with rectangular inserts and a sophisticated split headlamp setup.

Vertically stacked projector units sit below a prominent LED daytime running light signature, creating a more imposing presence than the outgoing model. The rear section sees equally significant changes, with new LED taillights connected by a full-width light bar.

Sequential turn indicators add a premium touch, while the redesigned rear bumper gives a more sculpted appearance. New alloy wheel designs across variants further enhance the SUV's visual appeal. The overall silhouette keeps the Venue’s boxy proportions but adds flatter roof panels, larger windows, and updated cladding for a more mature, SUV-like look.

Dual 10.25-inch Screens Take Centre Stage

Inside, the biggest news is a curved dual-screen layout featuring twin 10.25-inch displays. The setup mirrors Hyundai’s larger models, pairing a fully digital instrument cluster with a large touchscreen infotainment system. The dashboard has been comprehensively reworked to accommodate the new screens, with repositioned air vents and a heavily revised centre console.

A new three-spoke steering wheel, dashboard-mounted speakers, and improved materials lift perceived quality. Crucially, physical buttons for infotainment and climate controls remain for easier everyday use.

Space optimisation via redesigned seat architecture brings marginal gains in rear headroom and legroom despite similar external dimensions. Fresh upholstery patterns and ambient lighting options add to the premium feel.

Panoramic Sunroof, ADAS, And More

The 2025 Venue steps up its feature count with a first-time panoramic sunroof, answering persistent buyer demand. Ventilated front seats, usually seen in larger SUVs, also make their way to the features list. On safety, Level 2 ADAS brings adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist to the sub-four-meter segment.

A 360-degree surround view camera, automatic climate control with rear vents, and a wireless charging pad expand daily convenience. Six airbags are now standard across all variants, supported by a tyre pressure monitoring system and multiple electronic stability programs.

Familiar Engines, Finer Calibrations

The all-new Hyundai Venue is expected to continues with its proven trio of powertrains. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 83 hp and 114 Nm, will be paired with a five-speed manual. The popular 1.0-litre turbo-petrol delivers 120 hp and 172 Nm, will be offered with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Diesel buyers get the 1.5-litre unit with 116 hp and 250 Nm, matched to a six-speed manual. Industry chatter suggests the diesel could gain an automatic, potentially a six-speed torque converter, though Hyundai has not confirmed this.

Premium Push Against A Packed Field

The updated Venue enters a crowded arena that includes the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Skoda Kylaq, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and the recently launched Kia Syros. Hyundai’s play is clear. It aims to position the Venue as a more premium choice by leaning on build, features, and the brand’s reliability record.

With additions like a panoramic sunroof and ADAS, the next-gen model is expected to carry a modest price premium over the current car’s ₹7.94 lakh to ₹13.62 lakh range. Getting that balance right will be crucial in a price-sensitive segment.

N-Line In The Wings

Alongside the standard model, an N Line variant is in development and has been spotted testing with dual exhausts, unique graphics, and sportier suspension tuning. It is likely to use the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with specific calibration for a sharper drive.

Darker interior themes with contrast stitching, sport seats, and N Line branding will set it apart. While the exact timing is unconfirmed, it is expected to arrive shortly after the standard Venue’s November debut.

Why This Update Is Important

The Venue has been a cornerstone of Hyundai’s portfolio. With rivals intensifying their game, the comprehensive redesign, stronger tech package, and safety upgrades signal Hyundai’s intent to stay at the front of the compact SUV conversation.

If pricing remains disciplined, the next-generation Venue could extend the model’s run and protect Hyundai’s share in one of India’s most competitive segments.
