Next-Gen Hyundai Venue Spotted Testing Ahead Of Launch

Hyundai Venue has been a very popular SUV in its segment since its launch. A generation update is due for the Venue, and there were reports that Hyundai has already started working on it. A new set of images has now surfaced online that shows the test mule of the upcoming next-generation Hyundai Venue.
The sub-4 meter segment is highly competitive, which is why it is extremely important for manufacturers to update their models in a timely manner. The Hyundai Venue has always been a feature-rich SUV, and a few years ago, it also got a facelift.
The images of the next-generation Venue are from Hyundai’s homeland, South Korea. We see a heavily camouflaged SUV in a parking lot. The SUV is fully covered, and it looks like the next-generation Venue is going to get a design derived from the current version.
It is expected to look a lot sharper with a wider front grille, split headlamps, and sleek LED DRLs with a connecting LED bar. If you check the lower part of the bumper, we see a silver skid plate with radar on the lower grille. This is an indication that the next-generation Venue will come with Level 2 ADAS.
The next image of the Venue shows the side profile, and here we see brand-new alloy wheels. The design of the wheels actually looks similar to the ones seen on the Creta Electric. The 16-inch wheels are placed inside a round wheel arch with thick cladding around it.
The SUV will come with a 360-degree camera, which would work along with the parking sensors placed on the front and rear bumpers. The boxy design of the SUV is retained, and as we move to the rear, we notice that the rear quarter glass, spoiler, and tailgate are fully covered. This means Hyundai is planning a major revision in these areas in terms of design. The SUV will come with disc brakes on all four wheels too.
The interior of the upcoming Venue is not visible in the pictures, but it is safe to assume that Hyundai is not going to disappoint here. The next-gen Venue is expected to offer a redesigned dashboard, which would look premium. They might use sustainable materials, as they have done in many of their EVs in the past.
The seats would come with electrical adjustments and a ventilation function. There would also be a large curvilinear display on the dashboard, which would be divided between the fully digital instrument cluster and the infotainment screen. We wouldn’t be surprised if Hyundai decides to offer a triple-screen setup like the one seen in the Kia Seltos. Other than this, the Hyundai Venue is expected to get a panoramic sunroof and many more features.
In terms of engine options, Hyundai is expected to retain the same engines. It would continue to draw power from a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-litre NA petrol, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. These engines are available with manual, DCT, automatic, and iMT gearbox options. The next-gen Venue is expected to be launched in the market later this year.
