Upcoming All-New Nissan Terrano - What It'll Look Like

Recently, one of the very first test mules of the next-generation Nissan Terrano was spotted testing on public roads. This new model will be based on the upcoming Renault Duster, which is also just around the corner. Now, based on the spy shot, a rendering showing how the Nissan Terrano could look has been created. So, without any delay, have a look at it.
The rendering of the Nissan Terrano shows the front fascia of this SUV. It can be noted that it will boast a split headlight design where the top portion will have the LED DRL. Meanwhile, the lower portion will have a sleek LED headlamp. The centre of the fascia will be dominated by a gloss black horizontal grille with the new Nissan logo in the centre.
As for the front bumper design, it is a very simple and classy design that does not have a lot of aggressive styling bits. The centre will get a large air dam, and the lower part of the bumper will get a faux silver skid plate. The rendering does not show the complete side profile of this SUV. However, we know that it will look almost the same as the next-generation Duster as it is based on the same.
The test mule of this SUV, which was recently spotted, shows squared-off wheel arches with five-spoke alloy wheels. Overall, it will have very butch SUV-like proportions, which will help it and the Duster stand out from the competition. The Terrano will take on rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and others.
As for the rear, no rendering has been created. However, the upcoming SUV will get a set of rectangular LED taillights. It will also get a large tailgate and a simple rear bumper. Other notable highlights will include integrated roof rails, a rear spoiler, a shark fin antenna, a rear wiper, washer, and defogger. We can expect the higher variants to get a 360-degree camera and reverse parking sensors.
So far, there are no images of the interior design of this Nissan Terrano. However, we all have seen the interior of the internationally launched Renault Duster. It will most likely get a 10.1-inch touchscreen dominating the centre console, paired with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.
Other notable highlights could include automatic climate control, rear AC vents, Type-C chargers, and a six-speaker sound setup. In terms of safety features, it could get six airbags, electronic stability control, and ADAS features like lane-keep assist and emergency braking.
The most likely powertrain for the Indian market will be a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol engine. This motor will be capable of producing 154 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission duties on this engine might be handled by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Another engine option likely for the Indian market is a mild-hybrid engine capable of producing 131 PS of power and 230 Nm of torque. Reports have highlighted that Nissan and Renault might also offer CNG, strong hybrid, and electric versions of the Terrano and Duster in India in the future.
