Nissan is pulling out all the stops this month with significant discounts on its Magnite compact SUV. With benefits going as high as ₹1.25 lakh, the company and its dealer network are clearly trying to clear out old inventory while maintaining buyer interest in newer model year (MY2025) units. While it is not unusual to see year-end stock clearances or festive offers, such generous price reductions in mid-year suggest a more strategic play at work, especially as the compact SUV segment continues to see heavy competition from rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, and Renault Kiger.

The biggest discounts are reserved for the MY2024 turbo-petrol variants, where total benefits reach ₹1.25 lakh on the top-end Turbo Tekna Plus manual. This figure includes a mix of cash discounts, exchange bonuses, corporate benefits, and scrappage incentives. For MY2025 versions of the same variant, the total discount tapers to ₹80,000. This ₹45,000 gap reflects the usual drop in incentives once a new model year begins, but even so, an ₹80,000 price reduction on a current-year vehicle is generous.

The Turbo Tekna manual, Turbo Acenta CVT, and Turbo Tekna Plus CVT variants from the 2024 lineup are being offered with ₹90,000 in benefits. For MY2025 versions, these are mostly standardised at ₹80,000. Other turbocharged options such as the Turbo Tekna CVT and Turbo N-Connecta CVT are being offered at ₹70,000 and ₹55,000 respectively for MY2024 stock, with both moving up to a flat ₹80,000 discount for MY2025 units.

Naturally aspirated petrol variants with AMT gearboxes, including the Tekna Plus AMT and N-Connecta AMT, are being uniformly offered with ₹80,000 discounts for both model years. Meanwhile, mid-level manual trims like the Tekna and N-Connecta get ₹65,000 off on MY2024 and ₹80,000 on MY2025. It’s worth noting that some lower-end variants are seeing surprisingly strong deals as well. The entry-level Visia AMT gets ₹25,000 off in the older model year and ₹50,000 in MY2025. Even the manual Visia and Visia Plus trims, which had no discount for MY2024, are now being offered with ₹55,000 benefits on MY2025 stock.

These discounts are not a flat cut in price but rather a composition of different incentives. For instance, buyers may receive a direct cash discount on the ex-showroom price, an additional exchange bonus when they trade in an old vehicle, corporate scheme benefits if they are eligible, and a scrappage benefit for de-registering an old car. The split between these components may vary from dealer to dealer and depends on stock levels, customer profile, and financing options.

The Magnite continues to be available with two petrol engine choices. There’s a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 72 hp, which comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The more popular option, especially with discounts in focus, is the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol variant that makes 100 hp and is offered with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic. With these drivetrain combinations, Nissan caters to a wide range of buyers, from urban commuters looking for an affordable AMT to more performance-conscious drivers eyeing the CVT-equipped turbo trims.

Trim-wise, the Magnite range stretches from the entry-level Visia to the feature-rich Tekna Plus. The top trims get features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, LED lighting, 360-degree camera, cruise control, and more. With discounts in place, some of the top-end turbocharged variants now offer remarkable value for money, especially considering their sub-₹12 lakh on-road prices in many cities.

If you are in the market for a compact SUV and are open to a model-year 2024 car, this is arguably one of the most compelling times to buy a Nissan Magnite. The top offer on the Turbo Tekna Plus manual knocks off ₹1.25 lakh from the price, which significantly changes its value equation. Even for those strictly looking at MY2025 units, discounts of up to ₹80,000 are hard to ignore, especially since they apply across most trims and powertrain combinations.

All told, the Nissan Magnite in June 2025 presents excellent value, with discounts that not only make it more affordable upfront but also potentially open the door to a higher variant or automatic gearbox for the same budget. Whether you are upgrading from an older hatchback or entering the compact SUV space for the first time, this month’s offers are certainly worth exploring.
