Nissan launched the CNG version of the Magnite SUV in the market recently. Apart from the Magnite, Nissan has plans to expand their lineup in India and they are currently aiming to introduce a variety of models. They revealed recently that Nissan will be bringing a compact MPV, compact SUV, and a 7-seater SUV to the market. Well, we now have more details about these models, including the launch timelines.

Compact MPV

We’ll start with the first and most affordable one in this list. The first model to arrive in the Indian market will be the compact MPV. It is expected to be launched by the first quarter of 2026. As we already know, this upcoming MPV will be based on the CMF-A platform. It is actually the same platform as the Renault Triber.

In fact, it would actually be a badge-engineered version of the Triber. This means the upcoming Nissan MPV will share several parts and panels with the Renault Triber. The company is currently evaluating whether they can offer the turbocharged petrol engine in higher variants.

This has actually been a demand from customers for a very long time and it would also help Nissan differentiate their model from the Renault Triber. More details related to the car will be revealed closer to the launch, and an almost production-ready version of the MPV is expected to be showcased later this year.

Compact SUV

The next product is going to be the compact SUV which will be based on the Renault Duster. It will use the same CMF-B platform as the Duster. Although this is going to be a badge-engineered version of the Duster, Nissan claims that they are working on differentiating the SUV in terms of looks, design, and even the materials used in the cabin.

There is a possibility that Nissan might draw inspiration from the Nissan Patrol, which is a popular model sold by Nissan internationally. The SUV will be offered with the same engine and transmission as the Duster. It will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta in the segment.

There won’t be a diesel engine on offer, and Nissan will offer the SUV with only petrol engines. There is a possibility that the Nissan SUV might come with a hybrid engine too.

The SUV will be launched by mid-2026, and the pre-production model is likely to be showcased to the public early next year.

7-Seater SUV

The next model in Nissan’s lineup is going to be inspired by the Renault Bigster SUV. Nissan says it won’t just be an extended version of the 5-seater SUV—it will be engineered to be a 7-seater SUV.

Just like the 5-seater SUV, Nissan is likely to take inspiration from the Nissan Patrol, and there is a possibility that Nissan might offer a bigger or more powerful engine to compensate for the added weight of the vehicle.

It will also be offered only with a petrol engine and will compete with the likes of the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar, and others. The 7-seater SUV from Nissan is expected to be launched by early 2027.
