The Pune Porsche case has once again come up in the news. The family of the teen who crashed the expensive Porsche electric car has now filed a petition with the court for the return of their Porsche electric luxury car. The family argued in their petition that the teen was granted bail, and he even wrote the 300-word essay that was required to be submitted to the Juvenile Justice Board.

The court will be hearing the petition on August 26. The police have been directed to submit their report in this case by August 28. While the Pune teen’s family has approached the court for the release of their electric luxury car, there have been more developments in the case. Pune Police have now arrested two more people in connection with the case.

As per the reports, the recently arrested individuals were taken into custody in connection with the alleged swapping of blood samples of the accused in the hit-and-run case. On May 19, two IT engineers traveling on a bike were hit by a speeding Porsche Taycan electric car from the rear. The teen driving the car was found drunk and was also underage. The accident happened at the Kalyani Nagar junction in Pune.

With the recent arrests, the number of individuals held in this Porsche car case has gone up to nine. During the investigation, the police found that blood samples from both the accused and his friends were in the luxury car. These samples were later swapped by a couple of officials at the government-run Sassoon Hospital.

There was a lot of drama in this case after the arrest of the teen driver. The family even came forward with a claim that it was not their son but their family driver who was behind the wheel at the time of the accident. Even the teen’s father and grandfather were arrested and later granted bail in this case.

Besides the 300-word essay, the Juvenile Justice Board granted him bail on May 19 under the condition that he undergo a 15-day training with the Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO). The training focused on traffic rules and regulations. The RTO officials in Pune confirmed that the teenager underwent the training, but they didn’t share any details related to it.

While the family has filed a petition to get their car back, it remains to be seen if that will happen, as the car was involved in a crash that took the lives of two innocent bikers. The accident was the result of careless driving, and it remains to be seen if serving 15 days of training and writing an essay is sufficient to resolve the case.

Drunk Driving

Drunk driving is a major problem not just in India but around the world. We would never recommend anyone drive under the influence of alcohol, and there are several reasons for that. You may feel overly confident about your driving skills after drinking, but never trust that feeling.

That is not your brain but the alcohol speaking. When you are drunk, you usually have no control over the vehicle you are operating. Intoxicated individuals often have compromised senses and slower response times to road obstacles, posing a risk not only to themselves but also to other road users.
