Man Overfills And Spills Diesel Onto Mahindra Scorpio-N for Instagram Reel: Cops Seize SUV [Video]
Social media has become an integral part of our lives, and people have started content creation as a serious pastime. Many violate rules and go to any extent to become famous or create viral content on social media. Here we have one such video from Rajasthan where a man with a Mahindra Scorpio-N is seen pouring fuel out of the SUV after filling the tank in order to make viral content on social media.
The video has been shared by Nishant Sharma on his X profile. In this video, we see a Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV at a fuel pump. The driver, probably the owner of the SUV, is seen standing next to the SUV with the fuel dispenser. He probably got the fuel filled to the brim. Usually, people stop when the fuel dispenser gets cut off.
However, in this case, the owner had a different idea. He continued to pump the fuel in, and in no time, the fuel tank started overflowing. The owner continued to press the button, and the fuel was falling all over the place. The fuel was clearly being wasted. While all this was happening, he was posing for the video so that he could post it on social media. In the same video, we can see the person standing out of the sunroof of the Scorpio-N while the SUV was moving on a busy highway.
We feel the video did go online and garnered a lot of likes and comments. Nishant Sharma posted the video on his X profile, tagged the Rajasthan police, and asked them to take necessary actions. The cops were quick to respond, and concerned officers were informed about this video. A detailed investigation was done in this matter, and the owner along with the SUV was traced.
The SUV was seized, and the person seen in the video, along with the petrol pump staff who did not stop the owner from doing such stunts, was detained. Further action would be taken after a detailed investigation in this matter.
This was an extremely dangerous stunt, and we can see that the same person was doing the same mistake for the sake of the video several times. Wastage of fuel is one issue. The other reason is the danger involved in this stunt.
Petrol and diesel are both highly inflammable fuels, and even a small spark can lead to a serious fire. The person was actually putting his own life and the lives of other road users and people at the pump at risk just for the sake of his social media video. We really hope the person learns his lesson and does not repeat this mistake.
Not the First Time
You might be surprised to know that this is not the first time we have come across an incident like this. Last year, a video surfaced online where an elderly man was seen pouring fuel on his Tata Harrier at a petrol pump. Just like in this case, the old man was doing it for the sake of social media reach.
The incident was reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Noida, and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Noida had ordered action against the person involved.
