Ratan Tata In Critical Condition, Claims Fresh Reuters Report

Just a few days ago, it was reported that the former Chairman and Emeritus of Tata Group, Ratan Tata, was admitted to the hospital and was in critical condition. Although the same was quickly debunked by Ratan Tata’s official Instagram page, which clarified that he was in the hospital for routine. Unfortunately, it has now once again been reported that Mr. Tata is in the hospital and is in critical condition. He has been kept in the intensive care unit, stated Reuters.
As per the reports from Reuters, two sources close to the Tata Emeritus have stated that he is indeed in critical condition. The exact details have not been shared; however, he has been kept in the intensive care unit of a Mumbai hospital. The name of the hospital has also not been revealed.
Presently, no representative from Tata Group has responded to the condition of Ratan Tata, so it is hard to assess the current situation. As stated prior to this recent report, Ratan Tata’s official handle shared a post in which it mentioned that he was undergoing regular medical check-ups due to his age. Ratan Tata is currently 86 years old.
His post stated, “I am aware of the recent rumors circulating regarding my health and want to assure everyone that these claims are unfounded. I am currently undergoing medical check-ups due to my age and related medical conditions.”
He added, “There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits and request that the public and media refrain from spreading misinformation. Sincerely, Ratan Tata.”
When it comes to the titans that have shaped the Indian automotive industry, the name of Ratan Tata comes first. He is a pioneer who has given India its first indigenous car, the Tata Indica. The Tata Safari was also something that was born under his leadership.
Apart from launching and making a number of successful cars, he also took the Tata Group to new heights. He is the reason behind the growth of Tata Group. Ratan Tata is also the one who bought the luxury car brands Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford Motor Company, which once rejected the opportunity to acquire Tata.
In addition to being an immensely successful industrialist, he is also an avid automotive and aviation enthusiast. His personal collection of cars is very unique and includes cars ranging from a Ferrari California to a humble Honda Civic.
Other cars in his collection include a Cadillac XLR convertible, custom-built Tata Nano EV, Tata Nexon diesel, Mercedes-Benz 500 SL, Mercedes-Benz W124, and a Chrysler Sebring. Mr. Tata also owns an Indigo Marina, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Land Rover Freelander 2, and multiple other vintage cars.
As stated, in addition to being a true car enthusiast, he also has a deep-rooted love for airplanes. He is one of the few industrialists to have a pilot’s license. He famously flew an F-16 fighter jet at an airshow in Mumbai back in 2007. Ratan Tata has also flown Sukhoi fighter jets as well.
Ratan Tata is one of the few industrialists in India who has close to zero haters. People love him not only because he has been an incredibly successful businessman but rather because of his morals. He has always stayed humble and has never flaunted his power and wealth.
He is also very kind and gentle towards animals. For those who may not be aware, Ratan Tata had instructed all the staff from the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel to let the stray dogs enter the lobby and other safe areas during monsoon and adverse weather conditions. This shows how truly empathetic Mr. Ratan Tata is. We hope that he remains in good health.
