Renault has been silent in the Indian market for quite some time. They haven’t introduced any new products since 2021. However, it seems like the French manufacturer is changing its strategy for the Indian market, and they have a few models lined up for launch. Here is a list of three major launches that Renault has planned for India this year.

Kiger Facelift

The sub-4-meter SUV or crossover from Renault has been delivering decent numbers for the brand since its launch in 2021. However, the SUV has been in the market for over three years and has not received any major updates.

Recently, we spotted a test mule of the Kiger facelift on the road, and it looks like Renault will be launching it soon. The Kiger facelift is expected to come with minor exterior changes for a fresh look, along with a few feature updates. It will be offered with the same set of petrol engine options. The Kiger is expected to get revised headlamps, a new bumper, and an updated grille. From the spy pictures, it looks like the SUV will come with smoked clear-lens LED tail lamps. The Kiger facelift is expected to launch in the Indian market in the second half of 2025.

Triber Facelift

Like the Kiger, the Triber is another Renault vehicle that has not received any major updates since its launch. The Triber is actually the most affordable three-row MUV in the country. The 7-seater car from Renault is also being prepared for a major update, and according to reports, the Triber facelift will feature several exterior design updates.

The Triber facelift is expected to get revised headlamps, a new grille, and possibly a redesigned set of wheels. Currently, the Triber is only available with a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated engine. Many customers have said that the engine doesn’t feel powerful when the vehicle is fully loaded. There were reports of Renault introducing a turbocharged version of the 1.0-liter engine with the Triber, but that never happened.

We are hoping that the 2025 facelifted version of the Renault Triber comes with a turbo petrol engine, which would be much more powerful than the standard naturally aspirated unit. The Triber facelift is also expected to launch in the market sometime around June this year.

All-New Duster

The third car on the list is the much-awaited Duster. The Renault Duster was one of those SUVs that had a huge fan following. It was known for its comfortable ride quality. The next-generation Duster has already been unveiled and is on sale internationally, and the same model will be coming to India this year.

The 2025 Duster will be offered only with petrol engine options. Like many other manufacturers, Renault has stopped offering diesel engines due to stringent emission norms. The new Duster is based on a fresh platform and comes with a shorter wheelbase than before.

The SUV is expected to be powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission options. Internationally, the SUV is available with a 4x4 drivetrain, but in India, Renault is unlikely to launch this version.
