Renault’s 3 BIG Launches Of 2025

Renault India hasn’t been doing well in sales lately. Its market share has dipped to less than 1% in recent times. The French carmaker hopes to make a recovery this year. The company has a promising line of products in the pipeline, for 2025. Here are 3 big launches from Renault that are to be expected. The list includes facelifts and all-new models.
The Triber has been on sale for a long time, and appeals to people who are on the lookout for a small, affordable MPV. This budget people mover is slated for a facelift in the first half of this year. The new Triber is expected to feature a new styling that would tie it closer to many of Renault’s global models. It will be a departure from the Kwid-inspired design of the outgoing model. Sources say that the new vehicle could have a sharper and more upmarket design. It will also come with Renault’s new brand identity/logo. The new logo is yet to make its India-debut.
Inside, the new Triber will have a reworked dashboard and lighter cabin colours. There will be generous use of more upmarket and soft-touch materials, like what we saw on the new Nissan Magnite. Overall, the changes will be mostly cosmetic. The platform and powertrain will remain untouched. The new MPV will continue to use the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol. A turbocharged petrol could also make its debut later.
In its present portfolio, the Kiger is Renault’s flagship SUV. It packs a good value proposition by being stylish, comfortable and roomy inside, and housing a set of interesting powertrains. This sub-4m SUV will get a notable facelift in the second half of this year. It will bring more features and technology into the vehicle alongside a bunch of styling improvements. The new Kiger will likely retain its competitive edge in pricing and equipment distribution over competition.
Now comes the most anticipated launch- the new third-generation Renault Duster! The manufacturer has long been considering this SUV for India, and now it is confirmed to make an India entry in 2025. The third-generation will resurrect the Duster nameplate here, and is expected to drive good volumes.
The global Duster made its premiere in 2023, and was recently spotted testing in India as well. The India-spec will be based on the CMF-B LS (Common Module Family) platform. This platform has been developed for developing markets like India and would thus be more cost-effective.
The new Duster will have both 5-seater and 7-seater forms when launched. Key highlights of its design would be muscular body panels, LED lighting, 17-inch wheels, an edgy rear end, and chunky wheel arches. It will look butch and all the more upmarket. The cabin, again, would be feature-packed. Expect to find the likes of a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, leatherette ventilated seats, powered driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and even ADAS.
The ADAS suite on the new Duster will have functions like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, emergency braking, and lane-keeping assist. Additionally, there will also be other safety features like 6-7 airbags, ABS, EBD, hill descent control and more.
India could likely get the new Duster as a petrol-only model. Though several powertrains are available on the global model, the 1.3-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine (HR13DDT) seems like the most probable powertrain on the India-spec Duster. Two states of tune are expected- 130 BHP/ 240 Nm and 150 BHP/ 250 Nm. The last model that was on sale here used to offer diesel engines, which would not be the case with the third generation.
