4 New Renault Cars Lined Up For India

Renault as a brand has not launched any new product in the Indian market in a very long time. The most recent launch from the French brand in India was the facelifted Triber MPV. A quick walkaround video of the Renault Triber facelift is available on our YouTube channel and social media handles.
Apart from the Triber, Renault is planning to expand its lineup in India. They are calling their new approach ‘Renault.Rethink’. Here is a list of 4 such Renault models that will be launched in the market soon:
The first model is the all-new Duster. It has been an eagerly awaited model from Renault for quite some time. Renault has already launched the Duster internationally, and the launch for the same is expected to happen sometime later this year.
The Duster is one of those SUVs that has a huge recall value in the Indian market. In fact, it was the SUV that made Renault popular in our market. The new generation will look different and will offer more features to compete with others in the segment. It will not be offered with a diesel engine and will come with petrol engines only.
The next SUV from Renault is going to be the Bigster. It is actually a three-row SUV, which will be launched in the market after the Duster. The SUV is based on the same platform as the Duster. It is likely to be called either the Renault Boreal or Duster Boreal.
The SUV was recently spotted testing in India too. Renault will make minor changes to the exterior design to differentiate it from the Duster. Just like the Duster, the Boreal will also not come with a diesel engine. It will be offered with two petrol engine options. A 1.2-litre turbocharged unit with mild-hybrid tech. A 1.0-litre turbocharged engine
Renault recently launched the facelifted version of their popular MPV, the Triber, in the market. Next in line is the sub-4-meter SUV, the Kiger. Renault has already started testing it, and the launch is expected to happen sometime later this year.
It will get minor cosmetic changes on the outside like a revised front grille, headlamps and bumper, clear-lens tail lamps, and new alloy wheel designs. The engine and transmission options are likely to remain the same. It will get: A 3-cylinder naturally aspirated 1.0-litre petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options. Higher variants will come with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo engine with manual and CVT gearbox options
The last on this list is an EV. Like most manufacturers, Renault also has plans to introduce electric vehicles in the market. They initially planned to launch a small EV, but that wasn’t financially viable for the brand.
They are now planning to come up with an electric version of the Kiger. It is currently being internally referred to as RJ2K5. The electric SUV is expected to be launched in the market in a couple of years.
