The festive season is fast approaching. The carmaker will launch the facelifted Triber on July 23, 2025. This will be the first notable update/ facelift that the MPV has got since its market debut in 2019. It is expected to pack comprehensive updates.

The new model will increase traction in the compact MPV space. At present, the Triber starts at Rs. 6.14 lakh (ex-showroom). Owing to its changes, the facelift could demand a price premium over the current one.

New Triber Facelift: What To Expect?

The new Triber will have notable design changes. It will adhere more to the carmaker's modern design ethos. The most prominent change at the front is the revised grille design. The camouflage on the test mule prevents us from deducing finer details of it. The bumpers will also be redesigned. They will have low-set fog lamps and notable air intakes. The lighting will also be revisited. The headlamps and tail lamps will get new designs. You can also expect a new set of alloy wheels on the new MPV.

The facelifted Triber's interior continues to be a guarded secret. The feature list is likely to see a major positive revision. More tech and features are expected to be added to the upcoming product. The layout and cabin colours may also be revised.

The outgoing Triber comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen, digital cluster, wireless charger, PM 2.5 filter, smartphone connectivity and more. On the new model, the list is expected to get longer.

Reports suggest that the new Triber will continue to use the powertrains of the outgoing model. It will house a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine under its hood. It remains to be seen if the facelift will debut the 1.0 turbocharged petrol engine (which can be found on the Kiger now) on the Triber as well. The NA engine is offered with both manual and AMT (automatic) transmission options. Renault is also offering a CNG retrofitment kit on the Triber.

Diving deeper into Renault's India plans, the facelifted Kiger is expected to follow the launch of the new Triber. We don't have a date or tentative timeline for this yet. The facelift is expected to further improve Kiger as a product and widen its customer base.

Renault will bank its broader revival plans on iconic nameplates like the Duster. The carmaker will launch the newest generation Duster in India, next year. It will be followed by the launch of the five-seater version- an iteration of the Bigster concept. The three-row SUV will be called 'Boreal' when launched.

The Duster was spotted testing in India multiple times. It will come kitted with modern technologies and features like ADAS Level 2. In a more recent occurrence, the Boreal was also spied testing in India. Renault is yet to reveal the final design of the seven-seater.

We expect the company to adopt a multi-fuel approach in the Indian market. Their future lineup will have petrol engines, CNG powertrains, hybrids, and EVs.

In another interesting development, we reported that the Indian conglomerate JSW is trying to explore a possible partnership with Renault. It seems to be in early discussions around the same. If this goes through, Renault might have a major confidence-boost in India.
