The auspicious month of Chingam, which is the first month of the Malayalam calendar year, is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in the southern state of Kerala. Many people during this month buy cars and other things. As a result, recently the Czech carmaker Skoda managed to deliver over 200 cars across Kerala. The delivery of these 200 cars, including the Skoda Kodiaq, Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylaq, was done by three different dealership outlets.

Together, the Skoda dealerships — EVM Motors, PPS Motors, and Gem Phoenix — managed to deliver over 200 cars to their customers on the first day of Chingam. These cars included the newly launched flagship SUV Kodiaq, the mid-size Kushaq, and the Kylaq sub-compact SUV. The sedan Slavia was also in the mix.

This particular delivery event was one of the largest in the state of Kerala. Apart from this, EVM Motors also became the first Skoda Auto dealership across India to deliver over 1,000 units of the Kushaq. Currently, Skoda has 23 touchpoints across the state of Kerala, and it is a very popular brand in the state.

As part of the change, these models get a dark color scheme on the outside with bright red accents. All limited edition models come with '25 years' badges. On the inside, not much has changed. The only major update is that all three limited edition cars get a new 360-degree camera, which the company calls the “360 Area-view camera.”

The 1.0-litre TSI motor offered with all three cars is capable of producing 115 PS and 178 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre TSI engine, which is offered with the Kushaq and Slavia, produces a maximum power of 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
