Skoda launched their Kushaq and Slavia in the market a few years ago as part of their India 2.0 strategy. Both models have been performing well and have kept the brand competitive in the highly challenging Indian market. Skoda has finally decided to give both models a facelift. According to reports, Skoda is expected to launch the facelifted versions of the Kushaq by August 2025.

Both the Kushaq and Slavia are expected to receive several new features and styling updates when they are launched in 2025.

Kushaq Facelift

Recent reports indicate that Skoda will completely redesign the exterior of the Kushaq. The SUV is expected to feature a connecting LED bar at the front, which is quite common in SUVs on the market. Along with the new LED connecting bar, the front fascia of the SUV will also be completely redesigned.

The tail lamps will also get a connected light bar to match the overall theme. The front grille on this Skoda SUV will grow in size. There is a possibility that the tail light design on the Kushaq facelift might resemble that of the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq SUV, which will be launched in India with a diesel engine in limited numbers. Additionally, Skoda plans to introduce a new Olive green paint job along with a revised alloy wheel design.

The interior of the Kushaq will receive minor updates, including new trims and upholstery. To keep up with the competition, Skoda will offer ADAS with the SUV. The SUV already comes with ventilated seats, six airbags, a digital instrument cluster, and many more features. It remains to be seen if the Kushaq facelift will include a panoramic sunroof.

Slavia Facelift

While the Kushaq facelift will be launched by August 2025, we will have to wait a few more months for the Slavia facelift. According to reports, Skoda will launch the Slavia facelift by September 2025. The mid-size sedan will see cosmetic changes on the outside.

The Slavia will come with revised headlamps, a larger front grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and revised tail lamps. Similar to the Kushaq, there are reports that the Slavia might also feature a connecting LED bar, as seen in the Hyundai Verna. The interior of the sedan is expected to undergo minor changes. However, it is uncertain whether the Slavia will receive ADAS features. Its rivals, the Hyundai Verna and Honda City, already offer these features.

Engine

Both the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia will continue to be powered by the same engines. The lower variants will get the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. The higher versions will use a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 150 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with 6-speed manual and DSG gearbox options.

Skoda recently mentioned that India is a highly price-competitive market, and it remains to be seen if the facelifted versions of the Slavia and Kushaq will be priced competitively.

It is expected to have styling similar to the Kushaq and will be powered by the 1.0-litre TSI engine, which will be offered with manual and automatic transmissions.
