Skoda recently announced the entry prices of the upcoming Kylaq SUV and a lot of people are already excited about it. Initial interest for the vehicle has been sizeable and the carmaker has been devising many new strategies to build up heat and generate more sales. It recently introduced the Kylaq Club- an initiative aimed at delivering benefits like priority booking access, accessories and special offers to the SUV’s privileged customers.

Before taking a deep dive into the Kylaq Club, it is important to note that the SUV’s price starts at ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The deliveries are known to begin on January 27, 2025, and bookings will start on December 2, 2024.

The most significant benefit of enrolling in the Kylaq Club is that you get to enjoy early booking access. The booking window opens two hours in advance for them. Given the hype around the car, it is likely that the batch with applicable introductory prices get sold out just to the Club members alone.

Skoda has already confirmed its ambitious sales target with the SUV- intending to sell 1 lakh units in the first year of launch. Thus, it is likely that non-members of the Kylaq Club get to meet with longer waiting spans. The prices too could go up once the initial batches get sold out.

The program will also give access to exclusive content and webcasts around Kylaq. Members will also get to enjoy complete guidance throughout the purchase journey, along with special offers, benefits, access to coupons, value-added products and factory visits. The booking amount too will be lower, compared to non-members. Skoda will also strive to provide members with various other personalised experiences.

So how do I enter the Kylaq Club you ask? Well, admission here is time-capped. You can only enroll during the time from 15th November to 30th November 2024, via the Kylaq Club website. You can use it to enter your details and reserve your spots.

Skoda Kylaq: Top Things To Know About It

The Kylaq has become the most affordable product in Skoda’s Indian lineup. It derives its name from Mount Kailash and was in fact, named by a Quran teacher from Kerala. The SUV also debuts Skoda’s new-age ‘Modern Solid’ design philosophy in the Indian market. Tucking well below the 4m mark in length, it qualifies for tax benefits as well. However, this SUV comes with one of the longest wheelbases in its segment- standing second to just the Mahindra 3XO.

Notable design highlights on the Kylaq are a slimmer grille, split headlamps, pronounced bonnet creases, and a two-tone bumper with an aluminium-look spoiler. The overall design would give out the vibes of a mini-Kushaq.

The cabin gets ample room and a lot of modern features. It will come with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen with an updated OS, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, a two-spoke steering wheel, power front seats, a cooled glovebox, 60:40 split rear seats, a rear armrest, three-point seatbelts, and a single-pane sunroof. The boot has a class-leading capacity of 446 litres.

Like the Kushaq and Slavia, the Kylaq too is based on the MQB A0 IN platform that boasts up to 95% localisation. This Brezza rival will borrow the Kushaq’s 1.0L TSI turbo petrol engine that makes 115hp and 178Nm. Available transmission options include 6MT and 6AT units. The plus side here is that the Kylaq is 38 kilos lighter than the Kushaq, bringing about a better power-to-weight ratio. 0-100 kph time is claimed to be 10.5 seconds.
