Skoda is celebrating 25 years in the Indian market. As part of the milestone, it has now launched a new limited edition across its hot-selling models- the Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia. The special editions bring more style and features to these vehicles. Below are the ex-showroom prices:

  • Slavia 25-year edition: Rs 15.63- 18.33 lakh
  • Kushaq 25-year edition: Rs 16.39-19.09 lakh
  • Kylaq 25-year edition: 11.25-12.89 lakh

The 25-year limited edition is available on both 1.0L and 1.5L versions of the Kushaq and Slavia and with manual and automatic transmissions.

25 Years Limited Edition Skodas: What Do They Get?

The changes are mostly cosmetic. Yes, you also get a few additional features on all three models. Skoda India's website now has details of the new edition. The limited editions of the Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia are seen in a dark colour scheme. This adds more character to the design.

The Slavia and Kushaq get bright Red accents, which strike a great contrast with the Black body paint. They also get the Monte Carlo body kit, which makes the design feel more lively. The Kylaq, however, doesn't get the Monte Carlo kit or the Red accents. It comes finished in a plain shade of Black. All limited edition models come with '25 years' badges.

The core feature list remains unaltered on all three limited editions. However, a 360-degree camera system, which Skoda calls '360 Area-view camera' has been added to these. In addition to this, the Slavia and Kushaq also get puddle lamps and underbody lights. The Kylaq, however, misses out on the underbody lights and gets just the puddle lamps.

The Kylaq is the most affordable Skoda on sale in India. It was in fact, a big step for the company to step into the hyper-competitive sub-4m segment. It has a starting price of Rs 8.25 lakh, ex-showroom. The top-spec costs Rs 13.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Likely due to its budget-friendly nature, it is the limited edition Kylaq that gets the least number of changes of the three.

The Kushaq and Slavia are both in good demand, and have a lot in common. They are underpinned by the MQB A0 IN platform ( which is also found on the Kylaq) and offer the choice of the mightier 1.5L TSI engine in addition to the more frugal 1.0 TSI. On pricing grounds, the Slavia starts at Rs 10.49 Lakh ex-showroom while the top-spec has an ex-showroom price of Rs 18.33 lakh. Kushaq, the SUV, has an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.09 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topping variant.

Skoda's SUV lineup in India now consists of the Kylaq, Kushaq and Kodiaq. The brand calls this the 'Trinity of SUVs'. Interestingly, the Kodiaq doesn't get a 25-year edition. Not yet!

The Road Ahead For Skoda

In a video released on the company's official YouTube channel, Skoda Brand Director Ashish Gupta had previously said that the brand's growth strategy for the time ahead will be based on three pillars- being relevant, being differentiated and generating trust. It has ambitions of entering newer segments and price points. Skoda further plans to expand its retailer and service networks across India, aiming to enter new markets and geographies.

There will be a conscious effort to keep the maintenance costs in check. Strong initiatives will be taken to maximize the efficacy of how the brand communicates with its customers. Skoda is also working hard to boost customer trust in the brand and its products.
