Tata is all set to launch the most powerful version of the Altroz in the market. The manufacturer will be launching the sportier version of the hatchback on 7th June. It looks like production for the Altroz Racer has already started, and the car has already started reaching dealerships. Here, we have a quick walkaround of the Altroz Racer hatchback that reached a dealership before the official launch.

Watch on YouTube

The video has been shared by Automobile With Bruce on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger gives us a quick look at the new Altroz Racer hatchback. The exterior of the Altroz looks the same as the regular hatchback. What makes the car look different from the regular hatchback is the paint job. It gets a dual-tone paint job with racing stripes that start from the bonnet and go all the way to the back of the roof.

Tata will be offering the Altroz Racer in three color options: Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, and Avenue White. The video then shows the exterior of the Altroz Racer. We see cameras installed under the ORVMs. The car seen here is finished in the signature Atomic Orange shade. The wheels on this Altroz Racer look the same as the regular Altroz. The only difference is the shade; it is finished in a gunmetal grey to make it look sportier.

At the rear, the design remains the same. We see an iTurbo+ badge on the tailgate. The plus sign in the iTurbo badge is a reminder that it is a retuned version of the regular turbo petrol engine. The Altroz Racer gets twin-tip exhausts, and we also get to hear the sporty note in the video here.

The car gets a Racer badge on the front fender to differentiate it from the regular version. Coming to the interiors, the hatchback gets an all-black interior. The seats have leatherette upholstery with racing stripe design and Racer branding on the headrests. The front seats are ventilated, and we also see an electric sunroof.

Altroz Racer reaches dealership

The dashboard design of the Altroz remains the same, but we see a brand new touchscreen infotainment system in the middle. It is the same 10.25-inch unit that is also available on the Harrier, Nexon, and Safari.

The instrument cluster on this hatchback has also been updated. It is now a fully digital unit. The car continues to offer features like push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, multi-function steering wheel, and so on. The Altroz will also get 6 airbags for the top-end variants.

It is said that Tata will be offering the Altroz Racer in three variants. It is expected that the Altroz Racer will get HUD, but in this video, we do not see this feature. The Altroz Racer is powered by the same 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that generates 120 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque.

The car will only be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new features like the digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, and 360-degree camera will make their way to the regular version.
