Tata Curvv.EV Ready For Launch: Shows Off Its Lamborghini Urus-like Rear

Tata Motors is all set to launch its all-new coupe SUV, Curvv, in the Indian market. As we already know, Tata will be offering the Curvv in both ICE and EV forms. The electric version of the Curvv will be launched first. Tata will officially launch the Curvv EV on August 7th. Ahead of its official launch, the Tata Curvv EV has been spotted on the road without any camouflage.
Images of the Tata Curvv EV have been shared by Motorbeam on their website. In this newly leaked image, we get to see the Lamborghini Urus-inspired rear of the Curvv EV. The electric SUV seen here is finished in a very light shade of blue, similar to the shade that Tata showcased on the Curvv concept.
We see the connecting LED bar and the sleek-looking LED tail lamps on the Curvv. Apart from this, we see a set of lights and reflectors on the bumper as well. The rear bumper is finished in gloss black and silver. The SUV also gets a reverse parking camera right under the Tata logo on the boot. We also see the Curvv.ev badge on the tailgate.
It looks like the wheel arch cladding on the Curvv is finished in a gloss black shade. We see the flush-fitting door handles, a 360-degree camera, shark fin antenna, blacked-out roof, new alloy wheels with aero inserts, and low-resistance tires. It looks like the SUV was spotted when it was out for a TVC shoot.
According to the latest reports, Tata will be offering the Curvv with not one but two battery packs. There will be a 40.5 kWh battery pack and a 55 kWh battery. The 40.5 kWh battery pack will be the same as seen on the Nexon.ev. This variant of the Curvv.ev is expected to offer a driving range of around 450-500 km. Tata might label this as the Medium range variant.
The bigger 55 kWh battery pack on the Curvv.ev will probably come with a claimed driving range of 600 km. This is going to be the biggest battery pack installed in a Tata EV to date. The upcoming coupe SUV will compete with the likes of the MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV400, BYD Atto 3, and so on.
Just like all other Tata products, the Curvv EV is also expected to offer premium features. This new electric SUV will come with features like leatherette upholstery with front seat ventilation, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, fully digital instrument cluster, new floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, and automatic climate control.
The Curvv EV will also get level 2 ADAS, which includes features like emergency braking, forward and rear collision warning, blind-spot detection, door open alert, rear cross-traffic alert, high beam assist, and traffic sign recognition. It will also have disc brakes on all four wheels. Tata is also expected to offer driver drowsiness detection, which will be a segment-first feature.
The price for the Tata Curvv EV is expected to be anywhere between Rs 20 lakh to Rs 24 lakh. One should note that this EV will be positioned above the Nexon EV and below the Harrier EV that Tata plans to launch soon.
