Just-Unveiled Tata Curvv In A Walkaround Video: Looks Smashing!
After months of anticipation, Tata Motors has finally unveiled the Curvv ICE and Curvv EV Coupe SUVs. The company has also confirmed that on the 7th of August, the Curvv EV will be launched as well. Now, before the official launch of this model, recently, a walkaround video of both of these SUVs has been shared online. This video gives us an in-depth walkaround of these two SUVs, which are the most unique offerings from Tata Motors.
Tata Curvv Detailed Walkaround
This walkaround video of the Tata Curvv ICE and EV has come courtesy of Gagan Choudhary. It starts off with the vlogger showing the Tata Curvv ICE. He states that this particular video will only be the exterior walkaround as this particular model has not been finished from the inside.
He elaborates that prior to the final production, the company creates these hard foam models to show the intricate design details of vehicles. Following this, he then starts mentioning that currently it has not been confirmed, but he believes that this car has not been based on the Nexon’s platform.
The vlogger states that the Nexon platform is around 10 years old. So, the company might have changed the platform as the Curvv also boasts a larger wheelbase and length. He then talks about the exterior design details of the Curvv. He states that the Tata Curvv’s main highlight and distinguishing factor is its rear sloping coupe-like roofline.
Exterior Design
Following this, he starts at the front. He mentions that from the front, it looks very similar to the Safari as it is shown in the same golden shade. He adds that it also gets the similar gloss black grille with accent elements that add a premium appearance. Next up, he mentions that from the front, it looks a bit smaller.
However, when he moves to the side profile, he then adds that from the side, it looks a lot bigger. This is due to the fact that this SUV is around 4.3 meters in length. After this, he mentions that this particular model has been shown with 18-inch petal-like alloy wheels. However, the production version might be offered with 17-inch wheels.
The vlogger also highlights that Tata Motors will be offering it with flush-type door handles. He adds that the company’s chief designer stated that standard door handles would look very odd in this modern and sleek SUV.
Finally, he talks about the main design feature of the Curvv, which is its sloping roofline. The presenter states the company wanted to enter the crowded mid-size SUV segment with something unique in order to grab a bigger market share. So, they have designed this SUV with a coupe-like design.
After this, he talks about the powertrain details of this car. He states that it will most likely be offered with the new 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine. This motor will produce 125 PS of power and 225 Nm of torque.
It will get transmission options of 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. Additionally, it will also be offered with a 1.5-litre diesel engine. This engine will deliver 115 PS and 260 Nm, with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Tata Curvv EV
Following the exterior walkaround of the Curvv ICE, the vlogger then shows the Curvv EV. He states that this particular car in front is a clay model despite it being the first one to get launched. He then mentions that there are only subtle changes such as different front and rear bumpers, a closed grille, and different alloy wheels.
