Just like all Tata cars, the all-new Harrier.ev has also undergone the crash test and has emerged as the safest car in the Bharat NCAP crash test. It has, in fact, scored more points than its competitor, the Mahindra XUV 9E. In this crash test, the Harrier.ev was put through a frontal offset deformable barrier test at a speed of 64 kmph. Apart from this, the electric SUV also underwent a side impact test at 50 kmph and a pole side impact test at 29 kmph.

In all these tests, the Harrier.ev performed well and passed with flying colours. It is, in fact, currently one of the safest EVs on sale in India. The Tata Harrier.ev scored 32 points out of 32 in the Adult Occupant Protection test, and in the Child Occupant Protection rating, the Harrier.ev scored 45 points out of 49.

With this, the Harrier.ev has now emerged as one of the safest cars one can buy in the electric vehicle segment. When compared with its rival, the Mahindra XUV 9E, the Harrier.ev has scored the same points, and both these made-in-India EVs are currently the highest-rated electric vehicles by BNCAP in terms of safety.

In the video released by Bharat NCAP, we can see that the electric SUV performed well in all the tests. The car’s structure absorbed the impact very well. The airbags, both front and side units, deployed on time. The A-pillar, doors, and side panels of the Harrier.ev absorbed the impact very well. The shell of the vehicle also retained its shape in all the tests.

The Harrier.ev is currently the most expensive Tata EV one can buy in the country. The introductory price for the Harrier.ev starts at Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes all the way up to Rs 27.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Just like most modern-day Tata cars, it is loaded with several premium features. It gets electrically adjustable seats, boss mode, dual-zone climate control, a large Samsung Neo QLED touchscreen infotainment screen, a fully digital instrument cluster, drive modes, ventilated seats, leatherette upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and more.

What makes the Tata Harrier.ev special is that this is currently the only electric SUV in its segment to offer a dual-motor setup. This means the Harrier.ev is the only Tata in its current lineup to get the AWD feature. The SUV is available with two battery pack options. The smaller 65 kWh battery pack comes with an RWD configuration only. This version generates 235 BHP and 504 Nm of peak torque.

The 75 kWh battery version generates 289 BHP and 504 Nm of peak torque. This is available with both single and dual-motor options. The single-motor version generates less power.
