Tata Harrier.EV’s New TVC Shows What 504 Nm of Brute, Instant Torque Looks Like [Video]

Tata recently launched the all-new Harrier.ev in the Indian market. It is the latest and the flagship electric SUV from the manufacturer. A quick walkaround video of the all-new Tata Harrier.ev is available on our website, and a detailed review of the same will be coming on our website and channel in the coming weeks. Tata broke the internet a while ago with their extremely dangerous TVC where the Harrier.ev drove over the steep Elephant Rock in Kerala. They have now come out with another video that shows what 504 Nm of instant torque in the Harrier.ev looks like.
The video has been shared by TataEV on their official YouTube channel. In this TVC, the Harrier.ev is seen doing a tablecloth pull challenge. While the first video or the TVC was about showcasing the off-road capabilities of the Harrier.ev, the new one showcases the power and torque that this new EV generates.
In this video, we see a table in the middle of the road with items like fruits, toast placed on a plate, and drinks poured into glasses. These items are spread on a table with a white-coloured tablecloth on top. In the tablecloth challenge, one end of the tablecloth is actually tied to a rope while the other end of the rope is tied to the Harrier.ev.
The car is turned on and, as per the TVC, Boost mode is activated in the car for this stunt. As per the information available, in Boost mode, maximum torque is sent to the wheels for a short period of time. Being an EV, the torque is available from the moment you put your foot down. This is one of the major benefits of EVs.
After the Boost mode is activated, the driver slots the car into Drive mode and pushes the accelerator pedal. The car picks up speed on the straight road or track, and it is carrying the long rope tied at the back with it. The very next moment, we see the thin tablecloth slide over the table without spilling the food or beverages laid on it.
The Harrier.ev successfully cleared this challenge. It managed to pull this stunt off in style because of the instantaneous torque that was available to all the wheels. The Harrier.ev is available with two battery pack options — 65 kWh and 75 kWh. The one seen here in the video is the top-end 75 kWh version, which comes with the AWD feature, or QWD as Tata calls it.
Tata claims that this is the fastest EV from them and it can do 0-100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds. It is currently the only EV and vehicle in Tata’s entire lineup to offer the AWD feature.
The SUV comes with a dual motor setup in the higher versions, and both motors generate a combined power of around 313 PS and 504 Nm of peak torque. Bookings for the Harrier.ev will start from July 2nd, and the starting price of this all-new EV is Rs 21.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
