Tata officially launched their flagship electric SUV, the Harrier.ev, in the market last week. Bookings for the Harrier.ev will begin next month, and the starting price of the electric SUV is Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). We don’t know yet what the fully loaded top-end version of the SUV will cost, but we have a fair idea about the features it will come with. One such feature is the infotainment system. It is a world-class unit, and the manufacturer has now shared a new TVC for the same.

Tata EV shared this video on their official YouTube channel. The higher versions or variants of the Harrier.ev will come with a large 36.9 cm (14.5-inch) touchscreen infotainment system. What makes this infotainment screen special, other than its size, is the fact that it is the world’s first 36.9 cm cinematic infotainment system by Harman, and the screen itself is a Neo QLED unit from Samsung.

This is the first time a car is getting this kind of hardware. Not just the infotainment screen, but the speaker setup in the Harrier.ev is also special. It is the world’s first car to get JBL Black Series speakers for an extraordinary experience. You also get an immersive sound experience with Dolby Atmos.

Tata is aiming to offer a world-class experience to the occupants who travel in the Harrier.ev SUV. Apart from the infotainment system, the cabin of the Harrier.ev is designed to look premium. It gets an ice grey or white-coloured interior with soft-touch materials on all major touchpoints.

The SUV also gets Boss Mode, using which the co-driver seat can be reclined and pushed forward without actually disturbing the driver. The SUV also comes with several segment-first features like the digital IRVM, which doubles up as a dashcam too.

Ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a large 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, electrically adjustable seats, leatherette upholstery, Tata’s new steering wheel with an illuminated logo, dual-zone climate control, Summon Mode, a 540-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, and multiple drive modes are some of the other features that the SUV comes with.

Coming to the power and torque figures, it is currently the quickest electric SUV in its segment. Tata claims that the Harrier.ev can do the 0–100 kmph sprint in just 6.3 seconds. It is also the only SUV in the segment to offer AWD or a dual-motor setup.

Coming to the battery, the Harrier.ev gets 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options. The AWD version is available with the bigger battery only. This version generates around 313 PS and 504 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a Boost Mode, which sends all the torque to the wheels and is extremely useful during off-roading and drag races.

Tata has revealed the range of the RWD and AWD versions of the Harrier.ev for the 75 kWh version. The claimed range of the smaller battery version is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
