2025 seems to be a busy year for Tata Motors, as the manufacturer has a slew of launches planned, across powertrains. In the forthcoming year, there will be an extensive focus on SUVs- both ICE and EV, as the body style is in high demand today. Here are 6 new Tata SUVs that are expected to be out in 2025:

  1. Harrier EV
  2. Safari EV
  3. Harrier Petrol
  4. Safari Petrol
  5. Punch facelift
  6. Tata Sierra

Harrier EV and Safari EV Set for 2025 Launch

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the electric versions of two of its popular SUV models- Harrier and Safari. Both EVs will be based on the new-age Acti.ev platform. The Harrier EV will have class-leading efficiency, ample space, and enhanced battery capacity. It will offer a real-world range of up to 500 km. The design will draw significantly from that of the ICE version, with distinct EV-specific touches. The production-spec Harrier EV will likely have an EV-spec grille, revised bumpers and new wheels with low-resistance tyres.

Both SUVs could have 75 kWh battery packs, positioning them strongly in the competitive EV market. They are likely to make their debuts in January 2025. The Safari EV will compete with the likes of BYD eMAX 7 and the upcoming Creta and Carens EVs.

Petrol Variants for Harrier and Safari

Tata Motors will further the Harrier and Safari lineups by introducing new petrol engine options. Currently, both SUVs are only available with a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The new petrol versions will be powered by a new 1.5-litre TGDi engine that will likely 168 bhp and 275 Nm. Transmission choices could include manual and DCA automatic options. These are expected to launch soon after the EV versions, with the lower price point being their key USP.

Punch Facelift Coming Soon

The Punch, Tata’s most affordable SUV, is due for an update. The previously launched Punch.EV had featured significant design revisions. The same are expected to make their ways into the facelifted ICE Punch. It could come with a refreshed front fascia and new interior features like an updated steering wheel. Expected exterior changes are a larger black grille with a new humanity line graphic, reimagined bumpers, split LED headlamps, sleek LED tail lights with a light bar signature, updated skid plates, new wheels and LED DRLs.

On the inside, it will probably have a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a digital MID console. You can also expect to find connected car features, rear AC vents, a cooled glovebox, automatic climate control, a sunroof, premium audio system, ambient lighting, a rearview camera, possibly ventilated front seats, and a push-button start/stop.

Tata is expected to launch the Punch facelift by February 2025. The prices are expected to be competitive and the vehicle could easily build on the success of the one it replaces.

The Return of Tata Sierra

One of the most anticipated Tata launches of 2025 is the return of the iconic Sierra. It will have both EV and ICE forms. The production form will pay proper homage to the OG with its design and comfort levels. The vehicle will likely have a luxurious cabin. Tata may introduce a 4-seat configuration with a premium interior, including a grand center console and luxury accessories. The electric SUV is expected to debut in the first half of 2025.
