At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Tata showcased three of their upcoming models to the world. The Tata Sierra and the Harrier EV showcased were near-production-ready versions. However, the third car in the pavilion was the latest iteration of the Avinya concept. The Avinya concept was first showcased at the 2022 Auto Expo, and the latest version is completely different from it. Tata has also released an official video for the new Avinya concept.

The first Avinya concept was designed to look like a mix of estate, MPV, SUV, and crossover. However, in the latest version, the design has completely changed, and it now looks more SUV-like than before. The Avinya X will be the first model from Tata’s premium EV range.

The SUV looks huge, and there are several design changes to the vehicle compared to the previous concept. Unlike other Tata cars, the Avinya X won’t be offered as an ICE vehicle. It will be an all-electric vehicle. At the front, there is an illuminated LED bar that runs across the width of the car.

In fact, the LED DRL is designed to resemble the letter “T” from the Tata logo. The front bumper has an upright design with vertically stacked headlamps. The front bumper is finished in gloss with a silver skid plate on the lower part. The side profile of the SUV highlights the size of the Avinya concept.

It is an SUV that is almost 5 meters long with ample ground clearance. The coupe-like sloping roofline gives it a sporty appeal. The concept also features large dual-tone alloy wheels. As this is an EV, the wheels have aero inserts to reduce drag and improve efficiency.

At the rear, there is a sloping rear windscreen with an angular tailgate design. The car features all-LED tail lamp elements along with a gloss black bumper.

On the inside, the Avinya X concept has a unique steering wheel. Aimed at being a premium product, Tata has chosen an all-new theme and design for the interiors. The car features a brand-new two-spoke steering wheel, and the dashboard has a clean design. The dashboard also incorporates the “T” element, as seen on the front of the car.

Additionally, there is a floating-type large touchscreen infotainment system on the center console. The screen resembles those spotted on Range Rover SUVs. There is a sleek-looking instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. The instrument cluster is designed to seamlessly integrate with the dashboard.

When the Avinya X concept hits production, it will come with features like a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, V2L (Vehicle-to-Load), V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle), multi-zone climate control, and more.

As this is just a concept, there is still no information about the battery pack, motor, or driving range. However, considering that this will be Tata’s most expensive EV, it is likely to have a large battery pack offering at least a 500 km driving range. Tata is still working on the Avinya concept and it still very far from production. It should be noted that the Avinya is going to be the new wing through which Tata will sell premium EVs.
