Tata cars and SUVs like Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Nexon, Harrier and Safari qualify for the ‘Festival or cars’ benefits. Discounts of up to 65,000 are available on the Tiago and 30,000 is off on the Tigor. The duo is powered by a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 86hp and 113 Nm. Both manual and AMT transmissions are available.
Up to 45,000 is now off on the Altroz. The premium hatchback is available with a range of powertrain choices- 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol, 1.5 diesel and a CNG setup. The recently launched Altroz Racer gets a 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, and has a very sporty character to it.
The Nexon gets offers and discounts of Rs 80,000 on various ICE variants. This is the moniker that offers plenty of powertrain choices- 1.2L petrol, 1.5 diesel, two all-electric forms and an upcoming CNG version as well.
Cuts on the Harrier amount to 1.60 lakh, while the Safari gets an even bigger 1.80 lakh in discount. Both these SUVs are underpinned by Land Rover-derived OMEGARC platform and draw their juices from FCA-sourced 2.0L diesel engine. The Safari continues to hold the title of offering the best space and comfort at its third row, among rivals.
With the revised pricing, the Tiago now begins at Rs 4.99 lakh and the Tigor at 5.99 lakh. The Altroz now begins at 6.49 lakh, and the starting price of the Nexon is now 7.99 lakh. Tata Harrier now starts at 14.99 lakh and the Safari at 15.49 lakh. Interestingly, the price revision comes at a time when Hyundai has revealed the prices of the facelifted Alcazar. Hyundai’s 3-row SUV has a starting price of Rs 15.99 lakh for the diesel variant. The revision has made the Safari’s price slot below the Alcazar’s.
No discounts have been announced on the Punch and the petrol and diesel versions of the Curvv. Tata launched the petrol and diesel versions of the Curvv on September 2, 2204. The SUV coupe begins at 9.9 lakh, ex-showroom. The vehicle seems to have had a solid start. It is currently outselling the Renault Basalt by at least 6 times. Citroen’s SUV coupe could manage to sell only 579 units, while the Curvv posted sales of 3,455 units in the first month.
With the festive season fast approaching, several manufacturers have been rolling out attractive discounts and benefits on their respective lineups.
