3 New Tata Electric SUVs Coming In 2025: Details

Tata Motors has been actively expanding its electric vehicle portfolio in India, recently. The trend is known to sustain and a slew of all-electric products are expected to be out in 2025 as well. Tata will focus on the SUV body style going by the immense popularity enjoyed by the same. Here are 3 upcoming electric SUVs from Tata Motors, known to launch in 2025:
The EV version of Tata Harrier is expected to be out by March 2025. The Harrier EV will be underpinned by Tata’s new-age Acti.EV platform. It is expected to come with signature styling, a comfortable cabin with ample room and modern features, and a capable powertrain. The EV will likely have a design that stands close to that of the ICE counterpart but with visible differentiations such as an EV-spec grille, revised bumpers and new wheels with low-resistance tyres. Tata Motors had previously showcased the production-spec Harrier EV at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024.
The vehicle will likely feature a 75 kWh battery pack that will give it a solid positioning in the segment. The powertrain is expected to deliver a range of over 500 km per charge. There will also be V2L capabilities.
The electric SUV will be well-packed in terms of features and equipment. It will have features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), automatic climate control, an all-digital instrument cluster, touch-based climate controls, and a two-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated logo.
We expect the Harrier EV to be priced around 30 lakh when launched. It will then be able to put up a strong fight against the BYD eMAX 7 and the upcoming Creta and Carens EVs.
Expected Launch: March 2025
Tata Motors is also readying the Safari EV for a market launch towards the end of next year. The production-spec will have connected LED DRLs, slightly redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels, and connected LED taillights. The cabin will have a similar layout as the ICE version. It will, however, pack more features and technology.
It will likely feature a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated seats, JBL sound system, rear sunshades, a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof.
The vehicle will come with vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) abilities. It will also have ADAS along with seven airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control.
Powertrain details aren’t available yet. Reports suggest that it could come with a 60 kWh battery pack that delivers 500km in range. It could also borrow Harrier EV’s battery.
Expected Launch: End of 2025
Tata has already showcased the near-production form of the Sierra EV and will launch the highly anticipated electric SUV next year. It will mark the resurrection of a legendary nameplate. The EV will have a futuristic design with a full-width LED DRL, strong lines and bold creases, LED headlights, a chunky front bumper, an illuminated Tata Logo, a 5-door layout, something that mimics the old glass-top design, a boxy rear with connected tail lamps and more.
The cabin will have a modern, minimal design theme and will come with features like two digital screens, touch-based HVAC controls, and many familiar features from other Tata SUVs. This EV could also use the same powertrain as the Harrier and Safari EVs, in which case, the range could be 500-550 km per charge.
Expected Launch: H2, 2025
