The year 2025 will be a significant year for the electric division of Tata Motors, the current leader of the Indian electric four-wheeler market. Tata Motors is planning to launch three new electric SUVs in India, and all of them will be extremely impressive. If you are one of the EV buyers who are waiting for the big launches from Tata Motors and want to know all the details about them, well, then you have come to the right spot.

Tata Harrier.ev

Tata Motors, at the Bharat Mobility Global Auto Expo this year, showcased the Harrier.ev. Since then, a number of details about this SUV have been revealed online. The Harrier.ev will be based on the brand’s newest Acti.ev electric architecture. As for the battery pack, it is expected to get a massive 75-80 kWh unit with a real-world range of around 600 km on a single full charge.

What will be even more impressive about the Harrier.ev is that it will become the most affordable electric SUV in India with dual motors, with a price tag of under Rs 30 lakh. This means that this SUV will also get all-wheel-drive capabilities. As for the design, the Harrier.ev will get a new front bumper, a closed-off grille, and a set of aero blade-style alloy wheels. The Harrier.ev will be launched in India before June. Some reports have even stated that it could come as early as March.

Tata Safari.ev

Like its younger sibling, the Harrier, the seven-seater Safari, which is currently the flagship Tata SUV, is also going electric this year. The Safari.ev will also be based on the same Acti.ev architecture and will boast the same 75-80 kWh battery pack. Most likely, the range on the Safari.ev will be slightly lower due to it being a seven-seater and a heavier model.

Additionally, the Safari.ev will also be getting the same dual-motor setup, offering it all-wheel-drive capabilities. Design-wise, Tata will offer the Safari.ev with a new front fascia with EV-specific design cues to differentiate it from the ICE model. In terms of pricing, the Safari.ev will command slightly more than the Harrier.ev but will still remain under Rs 35 lakh, making it affordable. As for the launch date, the Safari.ev is also expected to make its debut before the second half of this year.

Tata Sierra.ev

After keeping people waiting for so long, Tata Motors is finally bringing back the iconic Sierra badge to its lineup in India. This time around, it will be first launched as an electric vehicle, and then the ICE versions will follow. On the outside, the new Sierra.ev will get a very bold and muscular design with a closed-off grille and a connecting LED DRL with LED headlights. It will also get large 19-inch alloy wheels.

As for the platform, like the Harrier.ev and Safari.ev, it too will be based on the latest Acti.ev platform. It is believed that Tata will be offering the Sierra.ev with a dual-motor as well as a single-motor option, giving it AWD as well as RWD capabilities. The battery pack is also expected to be the same—75-80 kWh—offering a real-world range of 600 km on a single full charge.
