Upcoming Tata Electric SUVs

Tata Motors, which currently stands as the largest electric carmaker in India, is looking to increase its dominance in the Indian EV market. For this, the company is gearing up to introduce a number of new electric cars in the country. If you are interested in knowing which new electric cars the company is planning to launch in the coming future, you have arrived at the right place.

Tata Curvv EV

First off, the company will finally be taking off the covers from the Tata Curvv EV. This unique coupe-SUV is expected to launch by 2024. The Curvv EV will feature a coupe-like roofline and a front fascia similar to that of the newly facelifted Nexon.

On the inside, it will feature an exactly same interior as the Nexon EV, which will include a new 12.3-inch floating infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, and high-quality materials. The Curvv EV will be based on Tata’s new Acti.ev platform and target a range of around 400-450 km.

Tata Harrier EV

Next up on the lineup is the Tata Harrier EV. The electric version of the Harrier will also share the same Acti.ev platform. The Harrier EV is expected to offer both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. Its design elements will likely include a sleek LED light bar, a closed-off grille, and other EV-specific design cues.

Inside, the Harrier EV is expected to feature modern amenities such as a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, and premium upholstery. The Harrier EV will also be targeting a similar range of 500 km and will compete with Maruti Suzuki eVX and Hyundai Creta EV in India.

Tata Safari EV

At the same time as the Harrier EV, Tata will also launch the Safari EV. Based on the same Acti.ev platform, the Safari EV will retain much of the design elements from its diesel-powered counterpart with some EV-specific tweaks. Spy shots suggest similarities in the front grille, connected LED DRLs, and headlight housing.

Interior features are expected to be the same as those of the diesel Safari, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and ventilated seats. Safety features will likely include up to 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It could also deliver a range of around 500 km.

Lastly, Tata Motors is also gearing up for the launch of the Tata Sierra EV. It is expected to launch by FY 2026. The new Sierra EV will revive the iconic design cues from the original 90s Sierra, including the signature curved rear-side windows and squarish wheel arches.

It will be based on the Gen2 EV platform. The near-production version, recently showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Auto Expo, revealed a stylish design. The Sierra EV is expected to offer advanced features like V2V and V2L charging capabilities and a front storage compartment (frunk).

It is also expected to offer a range of 500 km. The exact date of launch has not been revealed by the company at the moment. More details of Tata Sierra Here.
