Chhaava Actor Vicky Kaushal Is New Tata Motors Brand Ambassador For Cars And Electric Vehicles

Vicky Kaushal is currently basking in the resounding success of his latest movie 'Chhaava'. The movie has become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025. Making things sweeter for the actor, Tata Motors has now roped him in as its brand face for the passenger and electric vehicle range.
As part of the partnership, Vicky Kaushal will do a series of campaigns with Tata cars and SUVs. The first of such would be the "Take the Curvv" campaign, aimed at promoting the Cuvv coupe SUV at the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket season. It will have Kaushal in a series of 20-second commercials highlighting Curvv's hard-to-ignore design and the modern features that it packs. The soundtrack for these, would be carefully chosen, so that the impact is maximised.
These commercials will show how the Curvv is more than just a car. We expect to see it in action in these, with shots that show its agility and flair. 'Take the Curvv' aims to celebrate those who live outside the lines and choose to take the less-trodden paths. Vicky Kaushal will also be part of various other campaigns and brand collaborations as well.
Tata Motors has recently been dominating the compact SUV space, and it is never an overnight achievement. The manufacturer persevered and worked hard to get to where it is today. Vicky Kaushal too has risen to stardom with his perseverance, authenticity, and willingness to take on challenging roles. He had modest beginnings and today, is one of Bollywood's most celebrated stars. Tata Motors acknowledges this similarity in their official press release.
Commenting on the collaboration, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. said: “At Tata Motors, we are constantly pushing boundaries and setting new standards of excellence. As we lead the transformation of the passenger and electric vehicle landscape, we are proud to welcome Vicky Kaushal, whose values align with ours—authenticity and positive disruption. As one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the country, Tata Motors is committed to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, creating world-class vehicles designed and engineered for Indian consumers, just as Vicky Kaushal takes immense pride in representing Indian cinema and culture globally. With innovation at the core of our brand, the ‘Take the Curvv’ campaign celebrates individuals who choose to carve their own path. We are confident that this one of a kind association will be loved by our customers and his fans alike.”
The 36-year old actor is excited about being a part of Tata Motors compaigns. Talking about the opportunity, he said "I am thrilled to make my foray into the world of cars with Tata Motors – a home grown brand that has redefined how India travels. Tata Motors’ unwavering legacy, coupled with its relentless commitment to innovation and disruption, perfectly reflects my own passion, making this partnership a natural choice.
The ‘Take the Curvv’ campaign is the perfect launchpad for this association as it embodies the spirit of breaking barriers by following your heart, taking the road less travelled and coming out even stronger. I look forward to collaborating on ground-breaking projects with the Tata Motors family and share our story with the world.”
The Curvv stands special for multiple reasons. It looks unique and stylish. Everything from the tall stance, flush-type door handles, and the coupe roofline, gives it ample aesthetic appeal. Tata Motors has given it multiple powertrain choices. There are both electric vehicle (EV) and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) versions to it.
The EV further comes with two battery pack choices- 45 kWh and 55 kWh. The EV gets a liquid-cooled Permanent Magnet Synchronous motor that produces 167 PS and 215 Nm. The top speed is 160 kph and 0-100 kph is done in 8.6 seconds.
The ICE version offers both petrol and diesel engine options. There are two petrol engines offered- 1.2L turbocharged petrol sourced from the Nexon and a new 125hp 1.2L turbocharged direct injection (Hyperion) unit. The diesel engine is the familiar 1.5L turbocharged unit that also does duty on the Nexon. The ICE Curvv also offers the choice of both manual and automatic transmissions.
At the time of writing this article, the Curvv EV is priced in the range of Rs 17.49 - 21.99 Lakh, while the ICE version sits in the Rs 10 - 19.20 Lakh bracket, all ex-showroom. Plus, there are plenty of variants offered. For people with most budgets, there is a Curvv/EV variant available. This expansive variant lineup makes it special as well.
