Tata Nexon facelift

The Tata Nexon is an extremely popular SUV in its segment. It is, in fact, the only SUV in the market currently offered with petrol, diesel, and electric engines. Tata will also be introducing a CNG version of the Nexon in the market soon. This would make the Nexon the first CNG vehicle to be paired with a turbocharged petrol engine.

Tata Nexon

The Tata Nexon was initially launched in 2017. It performed well in terms of sales, competing with the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and other SUVs in the segment. However, after the Global NCAP crash test results were published, the sales significantly increased. It became the first-ever SUV to score 5 stars in the crash test.

Tata managed to sell 1 lakh units of the Nexon in 25 months after the launch. In the last 2 years, Tata sold over 3 lakh units of the Nexon in the market (ICE+EV combined). The petrol version of the Nexon uses a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 120 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with DCT and manual transmission options.
